All of the Titans bandwagoning is ridiculous

Yes Davey Crocket is a bad *** mofo a truely great man. But back to 2006 I was really posting in a sports context. Tennessee is a fine state with good southern folk. It's the Titans franchise and Adams that I take issue with.

I wasn't aware that being a Titans fan is now required of Longhorn fans. I guess Bill Little forgot to send me that memo.

Do we have to be fans of the Bears for Ced and the Bucs for Simms and the Chargers for Jammer to etc?

If so thats going to be alot to keep up with and I'll have a hell of a time when all these teams play eachother, hmmm what to do.

I am basically being derided because I am NOT a Tennessee Titans fan.

Pretty unreal. I'll stick with the

Fondren Road --- my post right before yours states that I had never pulled against the Cowboys until Vince played against them.

I heard the Texans play-by-play man on the radio this morning saying that the Vince Young Titan fans are a “vocal minority” in this state.

Now I see that a Texan fan here thinks that a Houston win will “crush this little movement.”

I’m beginning to suspect that Texan fans are an insulated and delusional little minority clustered in a relatively small dot within a huge state full of people who love Vince Young.

And love for Vince will only grow in the years to come as Horn fans miss him, as he succeeds in the NFL and as the Houston Texans become more and more inconsequential.

For those who are slow (3 posters so far), I'll say it again: ONLY the Texans would pass on Vince Young to take an underachiever with two bad feet

i have no loyalty to the houston texans. just because they are in the same city i was born, grew up in, and contiue to live doesnt mean I have to be loyal to them..**** them. a lot of what i feel towards them and how i feel towards VY has been said already by various posters, so there's not much else i can add...i will be attending my first texans game this coming sunday, but believe me, it aint for the texans, i'll be looking forward to #10 kicking the **** out the texans and loving every minute of it. dont mess with vince

Any true blue ex-Oiler fan could never cheer for the Titans. Doesn't mean you have to like the Texans, but you can't like the Titans. Period.

How many Browns fans follow the Ravens? none.

Remember that Bud Adams is the guy who locked out Steve McNair this summer for insurance reasons. Within 5 years, everyone on here will be bitching at Adams screwing over VY. Unless Adams dies off by then.

The feeling that I get as an outsider looking into this situation is that the Titans-VY supporters represent a HUGE percentage of Houstonians. First you have those who followed Vince in high school in Houston, then those of us diehard Texas fans who love Vince more than life itself, those who were Oiler fans that haven't had any connection to the Texans at all, and finally the Texans fans who have grown distant from the organization b/c of repeated failures and mishandlings.

"If the Texans win Sunday, then yes, they're on equal footing. Your record is what you are in the NFL. I'm sorry if that hurts some of your feelings. "

Hey smart guy you aren't hurting anyone's feelings. Don't flatter yourself. You are missing the point. If you look at what VY has done compared to Carr, you might understand. VY is a winning QB (5-4). Carr is a LOSING QB (4-8). Hell, they've even yanked ****** Carr for Sage Rosenfels one game! And yes, while you are right about the Titans' overall W-L loss record, you are missing the point. VY is the reason why the original post was made. Looking at his stats and what he continues to do, people have damn good reasons to be Titans/VY/Longhorn fans or traitors or whatever you want to call them.

You better believe VY will be ready to put on a show for all his fans this Sunday. Just don't work yourself up too much over a loss. I bet you don't have a problem with that, being a Texans fan and all.

Longhorns > all of CFB > anything in the NFL
Vince > the entire Texans org.

To think that a large alumni populous (hornfans) would be more loyal to a crapfest org like the Texans than to one of our greatests sons? Yeah.

The Texans committed to Carr and Kubiak. Good luck with that. get back to me in 10 years and let me know which guy had a better career - VY or Carr - and also let me know which team Kubiak is QB coach for.

After he was offically drafted, it took me about half a second to become a Titans fan. From the first postings here on Hornfans by people who saw him at practice when he was a true freshman to his being the star of the Rose Bowl, he has represented all that was right in football.

The Texans turned their backs on him. I would feel like I was turning my back on my own child if I did not support him in the pros.

If you love the Texans, fine. I do not. I do feel it is like rooting for A$M at this point.

The Texans represent what's wrong professional sports. Poor management, uninspired play, overspending, and alienating its fan base. So **** them and may they're weekly *** thrashings continue.

I have never seen a more irrelevant post get this much response. If you honestly believe that some owners are better or actually care more about the fans than others, you need to get some therapy. You root for the team and the players and Vince is THE player.

So what happens when the Texans dont win this weekend? Are they still even?

I second what was said above: VY has been a Houston legend longer than the Texans have been in existence.
