I fear if the Aggies can keep their composure and stick with Jimbo for about 3 seasons, highly ranked recruiting classes like their current one will be the norm.....not saying I like it, but if they don't self-implode with impatience, Jimbo could bring them to a level they haven't seen in oh 80 years.....lots of posters here ridicule the idea and I submit the posters are speaking from experience, but I really do fear that this time it's different...

If we win it won't matter. If Texas wins they get who they want. Aggy being good could be a good thing. Let's keep these kids in our backyards and make it harder for Bama, Auburn, Mich, tOSU to get these guys. It's not A&M that has cost us. It's us not being good and keeping our own.

Fools gold.

I don't share that fear... I seriously think Jumbo teams will show a few flashes of brightness but aggy will fall back to their usual place in life... full of unbridled delusions of grandeur but still in the middle to lower tier of the pack.

I suspect that is home field advantage. Vegas sees this as equal teams. Something that won't matter if LSU goes up quickly. Both teams have average QBs. I suspect it will come down to which team can shut the other's running game down and if LSUs players can understand anything coach O says while aggie saws varsity's horns off.

so they are still going to saw varsity's horns off? I should think they'd want to file Mike's claws down or something a little more appropriate to, you know, the team they are actually playing.

Here is the story on the latest aggy boycott
BC was going to be arriving late to Collie Station due to weather -- their plane's pilot did not want to land during the bad weather rolling through (yes, they are allowed to have an airport)
So BC phoned up aggy and asked to delay the tip off or even kick the game from Sat to Sunday. aggy refused.

Now aggy says they are 'perplexed' why BC didnt show up. And have retaliated by refusing to play their game in Boston next year, due to the weather they expect.

Texas A&M, Boston College blame each other for game cancellation
