Friday night note from IT on the visitors list for this weekend...

"I don’t think the list is complete. Based on conversations on Friday I think we’ll see the list grow with a couple of big additions. We don’t have them confirmed just yet and would probably have to hold until midday Saturday anyway but they’re names we’ve discussed a lot this cycle and they’re star-gazey."

After his trip to Austin this weekend, IT expects five-star '26 LB Tyler Atkinson of Loganville, GA to return to campus for Junior Day in the winter.

Wiltfong at On3 has put in a Texas pick for '26 five-star OL John Turntine III of North Crowley.

He was on campus for the Georgia game.

26 OL offer Adam Guthrie from Washington Court House, OH told OTF he was able to spend time with Coach Flood before, and after, the Georgia game.

He stuck around on Sunday for a campus tour.

He mentioned the commitment of '26 QB Dia Bell is a big part of his interest in Texas.

26 WR commitent Chris Stewart of Pearland Shadow Creek was in Baton Rouge on Saturday night and received an offer from LSU.

He told IT he's "all Texas" and will be back in Austin next weekend for the Kentucky game.

27 five-star TE offer Mark Bowman of Santa Ana, CA discusses his recent visit to Texas for the Florida game (247):

"My parents and Kayden Dixon-Wyatt," Bowman said of who joined him on the trip to Texas. "And then I met up with CJ Lavender. He goes to Mater Dei too. And then an old friend of mine, Stone Turner. He goes to Union [high school] in Oklahoma. And a bunch of my dad's friends came, like twelve people came (on Saturday)."

"We have family and friends out there and a lot of them got to come and go on the field with us so it was a cool experience for him to be able to show his family what we get to do."

"It was pretty cool. It was a packed out stadium and obviously the game wasn't too— I mean it wasn't close so it wasn't the best game but it was still pretty cool to see how they use their tight ends and stuff like that."

"It was pretty cool to see that. It's good to see that they utilize him vertically and up the field, he doesn't just run flat routes and stuff like that so that was good to see."

"I got to talk with Gunnar (Helm) for like three minutes. Basically just took the picture with him and said 'good job' and stuff like that. And then I got to hang out with Spencer Shannon and Brandon Baker too."
"It was really reminiscing about Mater Dei stuff but then I also asked him more personal questions like what's the difference between there and the high school experience. And it was good to talk about that. He told me the real. How coach Banks is, how practices go, and just what it's like being there."

"So Friday we got there at like two, I think. And we could only talk to them for a little bit but it was coach (Jeff) Banks and then coach (Chris) Jackson the receivers coach. So they came out to talk to us and some of the assistant tight ends coaches, but they were just going to their team movie so we only got to talk to them for like thirty minutes. But we just wanted to check in and get some gear from the place across the street and just wanted to stop by."

"And then Saturday, we obviously went to the game. We got to see a couple of coaches before (the game) like coach Jackson, and then after the game we saw coach Sark. Talked to him for like eightish minutes, and then coach Banks and coach Jackson all came up and we got to talk. And that's when I saw Gunnar (Helm) and Spencer (Shannon)."
"And then Sunday we came back in the morning and we went over film with coach Banks and the expectations of what he would see me doing there and went over basically all of Gunnar's film like him scoring and the deep plays and then just kinda hung out. Saw Brandon (Baker) before I left and then toured the facilities as well. They took us around on the golf cart and showed us around campus."

"I mean, I will say that's the best visit I've been on. It was a really good visit I can't lie. They showed us a good time."

"It's the only college town I've ever seen with Rolls Royce's everywhere and Lambos, it was crazy."

"They're number one for sure. That visit was very impressive. I really like coach Banks and everything the tight ends said about him. He'll be hard on you, but he'll still coach you and that was something I really liked but yeah it was a really good visit for sure."

"Next week I'm going to the Tennessee at Georgia game and that'll probably be my last visit (of this season) so it'll be good to compare the two."

I wish I was more modest, but Bowman also noted that Texas is known for fans to be highly supportive of their TE’s.

According to OTF, '26 ATH offer Jalen Lott from Frisco Panther Creek will be at A&M/Texas next weekend.
