My money is on Leighann Goode then either Kaydee Bennett or Katie Stewart.

I know that in HS, either on the HS team or in club, Katie played SS. The story is that she threw so hard that it was painful for her first baseman having to catch her ball.

I was thinking that one one hand Katie is fast enough that Mike lets her run the bases when she gets on. But on the other hand, she's more physically stout than a typical SS. But on the other other hand, we've seen plenty of stout SS that have been surprisingly good.

I guess we'll find out in a week or so.

Yes, but with maybe 3 media in attendance.

I hope this doesn’t mean the games not listed in conference play are not broadcast on tv?? Maybe someone other than espn is picking up the games?? Ugh!!

No. For example the UT vs Louisiana game is being broadcast.

However, when UT goes to Lamar for their tournament, so far it shows it NOT being broadcast, but instead they'll be broadcasting the double-header of Lamar vs. ULM??

Leighann Goode has lots of experience in the middle infield, but Texas has options with the arrival of a freshman and a transfer.

Game against Longwood has been delayed until 4:40 start time. The game ahead of us went in to extra innings.

Hard to not want more domination from the number one Longhorns but they did have a nice opening day. We are going to miss Vivi’s .340 batting average from last year but Leighann looked good defensively at SS.

Last night ESPN+ threw up a graphic that showed the next two Texas games: St. Johns and Lamar would be televised on ESPN+. That was surprise to me.

This morning I get onto ESPN+ and scan through the icons looking for Texas and I see that Texas vs. Lamar (only) is being televised.

But then checking texassports.com I see neither is being televised.

This morning, at 6:39am, ESPN+ showed that the game against Lamar would be televised My daughter, trying to find it to watch from college told me she couldn't find it. I looked just now. Gone. Sigh.
