Nahlin at IT on TE Nick Townsend of Spring Dekaney...

"I just had a call on TE commit NickTownsend. A&M is definitely being aggressive but I don't see it amounting to anything. He loves the offense and loves Jeff Banks. He'll be in College Station again for the Texas game but in my opinion that's to watch Texas."

 
DT Zion Williams of Lufkin had a "strong conversation" with Texas last night, according to IT.

Coach Baker's consistency, a shot at early playing time and LSU's recent woes are helping Texas' case right now.

 
OTF saying Texas is "surging" with LB Kellen Wiley, Jr. of Seffner, FL.

Also, things are "trending in a very favorable way" and the entire family is "excited about Texas."

He remains scheduled to officially visit Miami this weekend, but OTF has him at 75% to be a Longhorn currently.

 
Does anybody have a commitment time table for Michael Terry III. He lists as a WR as often as Ath. Obviously he cant line up and play as Ath. Could this affect Ffrench?

Although very doubtful, I would still like to have K Russell....does he offer more vs Lacey??

I like the excitement about Fasusi signing with UT. That is a good sign that he is missing an OU home game!🤘

He was originally scheduled to be in Norman this weekend but is now supposedly here this weekend.
A side note. Venebles has a no visit other schools while committed policy.
I dont see him pulling his scholly offer from the star of their class.
We'll see how it all works out.

From that visit he will be able to answer the age old question, “what is a Sooner?” Answer: a flat animal that lives in the middle of a football field.

To his credit, Sark honored his offer, Laceys commitment, and his efforts to recruit Florida. Russell his monster development, but Sarks honor for Lacey just keeps on giving. Russell would have committed on the spot all summer had Sark offered.

Actually we did offer. But it was pretty late.

I’m not up to speed on Lacey vs Russell recruiting story. I see On3 has Lacey as the 35th QB in the class with several Texas HS QBs ranked well above him. I’ve seen the staggering HS numbers from Russell.

OTF reporting DT Zion Williams of Lufkin is now a possibility to officially visit Texas this weekend.

He hasn't been on campus since the spring since he chose to skip a summer official visit to Austin before committing to LSU.

They didn't talk about Bo Davis in this particular update, but a "huge hurdle" to overcome for the staff is his girlfriend attending LSU and he's "very, very close" to her family in Lufkin.

If he heads to Gainesville for a second weekend in a row, that'd be an ominous development for Texas.

He didn't rule out Ffrench returning to Austin for the Kentucky game.

And needless to say, if he were to decommit, that might have a major ripple effect with this class. He’s too good and too prominent for that not to be the case.

This came as a shock to people in the Switzer Center, too, which is never a good sign.”

Justin Wells, who seems to have a reasonable relationship with Ffrench, said, every day that passes since his Florida visit gives him (Wells) slightly more confidence. He also noted that Ffrench told him, about Florida, that “something doesn’t feel quite right.”

Fingers are crossed. Sark is a very good closer.
 
The father of DB offer Kade Phillips from Fort Bend Hightower told 247 they are a possibility to be in Austin this weekend.


 
If Texas really wanted to impress the recruits, Sark should bust out his 3 TE set against aggy. Fixes the offense issues pronto.
