2025 Recruiting - Football

We are fast approaching that point that DKR established. That being, if you are good enough to get an offer and arent certain you are Top 2 or 3 in the nation, you damn well better take the offer. Unlike a whole lot of crappy schools, UT has maintained a respect for the recruit. An offer and acceptance constitutes a binding agreement. See how earnestly we have stood by KJ Lacey when the Duncanville QB has tried hard to dislodge him. But,,, start touring around and shopping means all bets are off. That attitude must come back, across the Power 4 landscape, or we are going end up eating each other up to no net avail. Just IMO.

Current list of visitors for this weekend's Georgia game (from all sites). Expecting to add more.

** next to a prospect's names indicates a Texas offer.

Thats a monster list. If I were a recruit for sure I would want to come to this game as its a huge game with 2 very good teams. Lets hope LB, Riley Pettijohn figures out he made a mistake!!!

Yeah, I think Quinn could offer Pettijohn some thoughts on whether it's worth a year of your life at Blowhio State vs. coming to UT straight from HS. :hookem:

Both 247 and OTF mentioned the Texas coaches are going to get back to Gibson on whether they'll greenlight a visit.

Apparently Gibson has requested tickets from other programs when Georgia is the road team, and they've turned him down.

It has grown since I posted that.
Texas said okay, but we'll make it a different game. That will tell us if he really wanted to come to see Texas or wanted to come watch Georgia play a game.

Do you ever recall a game with such a large and “star studded” list of visitors. With that many guys in town it seems like it would be really hard to manage all the priorities.

The coaches will only spend any time with the the ones that are here on " officials".
The others will get a hand shake, meet and greet and be passed on to the recruiting coordinators. Taylor is going to be busy.

Walter Mathis Jr., from Savannah (Ga.) Calvary Day has moved his visit date from this weekend to a date to be determined in November.

This was at the request of the UT staff, who wanted to be able to spend more time with him, one on one.

Elijah Griffin(2025 5* DL) just committed to Georgia today. It sounds like he and Justus Terry did not want to play on the same team. Hopefully that opens it up for Texas!!!
