This is what I believe to be a very good video on DT recruiting. The number of busts of four and five star recruits is very high. So you pay big bucks, risk shaking up your culture, and 70% don’t make it to the NFL. (Paul Wadlington is no dummy.)

Good point. A lot of big potential DT’s wash out. 5 star DB, LB, RB, and WR seem to be a safer bet.
