True, but the same goes for Averi. I've been reluctant to say this because I didn't want to jinx her, but nearly every match Averi has gone on a 6-8 point run to take a set Texas likely would've lost. Texas definitely woulda lost the 1st set against FL if it hadn't been for Averi's 8 pt run, and if that goes 4-5 sets who knows what happens. It's proof you don't have to have a killer serve, just get in a decent serve and let the talent to the rest.

I don't think Ella can get 8 serves in a row serving to an empty court, nor anyone else on the team except possibly Emma or Akana.

Until Averi serves me to a National Championship I'm going to include Ella in any conversation I have about our setting. The system we have is working great.
There is no Libero in the country I would trade for Emma.:bevo:

I certainly agree about Emma, my favorite player. But the stats don't lie, Texas scores more pts with Averi on the court because of her serving.

I don't know what's wrong with Ella's serving, but the SE's have killed momentum multiple times. Maybe it's because she's not serving as much so she can't get into a rhythm.

Pro's/Con's, Assets/Liabilities is not the conversation to have now Run...we are good. The system is working. The Ladies look happy. I love that the progress is slow, a nice buildup it seems. Lets enjoy the ride!
 
There are so many great story lines within Texas Volleyball this year so far. Devin has been such an awesome surprise. She does so many things well. Very well rounded game. :bevo:
 
My daughter is a freshman, but the varsity just played Timothy Christian. Abby Vander Wal plays there. #3 rated recruit, Texas commit.

Haven't been on here much lately, but I love the way the team is starting to come together and find their groove. Watching Devin and Mari really step into their roles has been so fun! I am an Ella Swindle fan. Period.
 
Horns win set three 25-23. Still lots to clean up. We have been aced 9 times in 2 sets and more than a handul of bad serve receives.
The gags Lednicky is a beast.
 
Well, when you play inconsistently, you give up the goat. Bad loss against unranked opponent. Wish it would have been someone other than A&M.
 
I recorded and hadn't watched yet. Guess I won't.

Wow, first conference home loss in, what, the last 78 or 79 matches and it is to a&m?
