2024 Volleyball

We have started SEC play:

SC
@Florida
@Kentucky
Out of 5 matches the ladies have only dropped one set including coming back against Florida 22-16 in the first set to win it. Arky is having a good season--so far- but they are in Gregory Friday.
 
Stanford beat SMU in 3 last night. SMU has already beat Nebraska and Pittsburgh recently. The match was intense in front of a big crowd at Moody. 25-22, 25-23, and 35-33. SMU just might be on Horns path in playoffs. Horns beat SMU 3-1 last year playoffs but they are much better this year. The third year SMU coach picked up a lot of graduate transfers so an experienced group.
 
Set one done! I guess challenges are reviewed off site? The refs here stood around not looking at anything until someone got notified in their earpiece. It certainly takes longer. The team looked solid.
 
Rolling in set 2. A bit of a break when Maddie absolutely crushed it and an arkie player to most of it took the face. 20-13 in the second.
 
Wow, they stay during the timeout, and we get to hear Wabash Canonball in its entirety. That never happens watching football at the end of the 3rd quarter.
