2024 Trump Transition

about the waste and inefficiency of the US government and why Elon and Vivek's new DOGE is such an incredible and crucial development for America:

• The CBO revealed at least 1,264 federal programs and bureaus have expired authorizations, but they still received $516B in funding for FY2024

• The Government Accountability Office estimates the federal government wastes $247B in taxpayer money each year

• The Department of the Treasury reported $24.5B in "unreconciled transactions" in the past meaning it spent ~$25B on unknown items

• Department of Agriculture employees misused government issued credit cards spending millions on personal purchases like concert tickets, tattoos, lingerie and car payments

• $33.2M was spent on transgender monkey research

• The NIH spent part of a $2.7M grant to study Russian cats walking on a treadmill

• The DoD ruined $170M of military equipment by leaving it outside

• The US Agency for International Development spent $6M to promote tourism in Egypt

• The SBA gave over $200M to music artists like Post Malone, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne through the Covid Paycheck Protection Program

• The US military bought soap dispensers for aircraft at over 80 times the commercial price

The importance of the Department of Government Efficiency cannot be overstated

Need to cut it all except the transgender monkey study.

Pete Hegseth and Trump need to purge the Pentagon of the leftist, anti-Constitutionalist, and disloyal flag officers. This includes any flag officer who will not follow the orders of the Commander-in-Chief.

Truman did it with the Nation's most popular General at the time. (not for leftism, but for failure to follow the orders of the Commander in Chief).

The military is roughly organized as a pyramid with the President at the top.

And rebuild military logistics (which has suffered greatly the past 4 years).

The "tip-of-the-spear" units win the battles, but logistics wins the wars.

Hegseth probably gets that, and I'm pretty sure Trump does.

The issue with Pete is "real". Will be acceptance by the Pentagon, both military and civilian? He is going to have his hands full with inside issues alone.

The military side will say all of the right things, but the O-6's and above will have trouble taking orders from what they see as a captain (O-3). Look for a couple of high profile forced resignations over and above those involved in the Afghanistan withdrawal.

On the civilian side there will be "leakers" affiliated with the demz.

Any leaker should be found and terminated ASAP

Granddad Deez was an O-6 (Navy) and actually preferred dealing with lower rank people. He thought that many (with some exceptions) of the admirals above him were far too political and spent too much time kissing a$$ with politicians and defense contractors, especially when he was at the Pentagon.

Of course, he had an unusual view of government and military work. One of his projects was development of the AIM-7 Sparrow air-to-air missile. He said they would have done better and gotten the missile ready quicker, but they were given too much money. Sounds silly, but in government-speak, it made sense. All that money forced them to waste time and resources on various efforts that they were confident wouldn't be fruitful rather than only doing what they knew was likely to work best.

Navy:

Captains/COs of ships and submarines are generally O-5 or O-6. Once they get promoted to flag officer, it starts getting a lot more political. That being said, many of the lower level admirals can make good Commodores over squadrons. Rear Admiral Upper Half and above are sometimes more politicians than war fighters. The flag officers that have spent too much time in the Pentagon are basically swamp dwellers. The O-4 through O-6 ranks must be good tacticians. They're the MVPs of the O-Gangers.

But the Chiefs and other Senior Petty Officers are the backbone of the entire Fleet. If they're not good, your entire command will suck.

The Army guys I've known have mostly said the same thing. O-4 through O-6 lead the war fighting efforts, but the Sergeants are the most important. Flag officers---> at least 1/2 politician.

The mighty Prussians agreed:

The Kaiser to Bismarck: "Give me the best Generals and I could conquer all of France."

Bismarck replies to the Kaiser: "Give me the best Sergeants and I could conquer all of Europe."
