I guess this is the best thread for this question. I keep hearing this on again, off again rumor about Sotomayor resigning in time to be replaced. I could have sworn there was an unspoken policy in which an outgoing administration would not replace a member so close to the opposite party taking over. I think it was Scalia who died in Feb of 2016. Hell, that was 9 months before the 2016 election. Not that I'd expect the Dems to honor this, but would there even be a chance otherwise? Wouldn't Manchin be the deciding vote?

I read over it and like most of it. Federal employees should not be telling platforms to take things down just because they conflict with federal policy. Not only should it be done by EO, it should be written into federal law.

The only part I'm not too keen on is using §230 to manipulate what private websites can and can't censor even without the influence of government. If a website only wants to allow a certain kind of content, that's their right.

Hell, if HiC starts posting d1ck pics, don't you want Dion to be able to pull them down? lol

I am waiting anxiously for Senator Schumer to refloat the idea that the Supreme Court should be boosted to 15 members in order to properly balance the membership.

Just for laughs, is there any chance one of the new appointees could be from a school that is not in the Ivy League?

I detest Bone Spurs and his opponent but have to admit that seeing the wailing and gnashing of teeth of his haters has raised my level of schadenfreude to heights I never imagined possible.
