2024 Recruiting - WBB

Find where I said that you were criticizing her. I simply stated that IMO, I don't think that NIL helped her get any of those players. And this is coming from someone who doesn't like Mulkey.

I think the whole NIL thing has become too overstated. If you look at where the top athletes are going in all the sports in college athletics, the overwhelming majority are still going to the programs/ coaches that have a track record of winning and putting their athletes in the pros. And Mulkey obviously does that.
Mulkey would be hard to play for but like Saban in football, she has the trophys to support what she does. They all have NIL money so that may sway a few but if Mulkey wants you then thats worth a lot, just like if Saban wants you. NIL is there for everyone and its just like SMU of the old SWC only its legal now.

The entire coaching staff and Sydney with PG Bryanna Preston on an unofficial?

Maybe the entire coaching staff is on the trip because they are making other stops in the DFW area? Just throwing out a guess as to why the entire staff is in Lovejoy. If so, I hope they stop by South Grand Prairie to see Adhel Tac and Taliyah Parker.

Kendall Dudley plays for Sidwell Friends in DC. I think Taliyah Parker is the one who moved into SGP from OKC???

I thought that at first but checked and Preston is from the Lovejoy in Georgia not Texas.

LOL. Welp I guess if the entire staff shows up in Lovejoy Georgia, with a population of less than 6,500 people, then Brianna Preston must be a priority recruit for the 2024 class.

Btw, my entire original post was completely inaccurate. Just one of those days.

Zig, CG is Combo Guard who is able to play point guard or shooting guard positions. Sometimes others will just designate it as "G" for just "guard".

Oh, I think I see what happened. Like loyallonghorn, I thought you were asking what a "CG" was. But it looks like you were wondering WHO the CG in this list is? That is a new name that I don't think I've seen before. This is all I can find on her:

Perhaps I was being cryptic. You had it right the first time....I did not realize CG meant combo guard. At 6'0", McGrew just didn't fit the combo guard pattern in my brain.

Thanks for posting the video. She has a nice jumper off the dribble.

Never can have enough point guards. Don’t know much about Cambridge, but she has to be decent at number 1 player in 2024. It will be interesting who follows Harmon with Chavez on the radar in 2025.

I think by 2024 Justice Carlton will be ranked the best in the country. I hope Coach see it that way too. She is from our part of the country and I'd hate to miss out on her. I am of the opinion if we could also gain the committment of Aaliyah Chavez for 2025 the program would be in great shape for the foreseeable future.

Good news! It looks like Jaloni Cambridge, the #1 recruit in the 2024 class, is in ATX for a visit. Her IG stories has one photo from a photo shoot at Texas.

The only bad news is that she also visited Baylor for the second time.

It’s great to get Jaloni on campus so that she can see what Texas has to offer. She’s a dynamic point guard and Vic can sell her on leading the team after Rori graduates.

Here is a tally of recruits from the 2024 class that have visited Texas or received an offer, in order of their ESPN HoopGurlz ranking. Let me know if I've missed anyone.

#1: Jaloni Cambridge, 5'6" PG, TN
#2: Joyce Edwards, 6'2" F, SC
#3: Justice Carlton, 6"2" F, TX
#12: Adhel Tac, 6'5" C, TX
#13: Kendall Dudley, 6'1" W, DC
#15: Jordan Lee, 6'0" F, CA
#44: Bryana Preston, 5'8" PG, GA

Taliyah Parker is the 6'1" G that transferred from Oklahoma to play for South Grand Prairie. Unless I've missed it, I haven't seen any evidence of her visiting Texas or receiving an offer from Texas (as of yet).
