2024 MCWS

7-5 now. still 2 on but 2 outs. NC climbing back into this.

 

It amazes me there are about to be 5 teams remaining and 4 of them are SEC teams. The entire final 4 will almost guaranteed be sec teams. If we go into next year looking anything like what we did this year in a terrible Big XII who as a conference didn't win a single game past regionals, we might be .500.

 

yea, but who should the other Texas team be?

Rice had a nice run. Good ol Graham had a very good program there. Great uniforms too. Especially their white pinstripes.

 

He sure knew how to develop talent

 

He recruited pretty well too!

 

Supposedly Pierce was to Graham what Scott Hill was to Barry, & that's why we hired him

 

Graham did see a young kid with no offers pitching in a summer league, offered him, and turned him into arguably his greatest success.

 

Florida up on Kentucky 3-1 in the 1st, already run the UK starter out of the game.

 

Oh my, 7-1 now after a grand slam in the 1st.

 

Kentucky gone, lost 15-4. Good game up next, Tennessee vs. Florida St., see if offense or pitching and defense wins the game.

 

One of these days I'm gonna have a pool with a TV and i'm going to lounge all day in the pool with drinks and these games on blast.......to those of you who already have this set up, congrats!

 

So far, pitching for Florida St. not holding up. Tennessee up 4-0 in only the 2nd, already ran off the Florida St. starting pitcher, much like Florida did with Kentucky earlier. The depth of the bullpens are showing up now.

 

Tennessee up 5-0 after 5 full.

 

5-0 after 6.

 

Tennessee picks up another, 6-0.

 

Florida St. finally gets on the board with back to back homeruns but are running out of innings. 6-2 after 7.

 

Tennessee defense choking Fl St., still 6-2 after 8.

 

Burke from Tennessee launches one, 7-2. Looks like it’s safe to say Tennessee is in the championship game.

 

Tennessee in the championship game, defeats Florida St. 7-2.

For the third straight game, the starting pitcher gets ran out of the game in the 1st inning (of the eventual loser). Florida with the pitching change.
