2023 Softball Transfers

With OU down to two experienced pitchers to start their 2023-2024 campaign, how many transfer pitchers do you think they'll pull in. I don't know their true freshman 2023 incoming pitching numbers. But, you think they'll get 1 or 2 transfer pitchers?

One of my biggest pet peeves is when teams take pictures of a player/coach in another team's gear and photoshop their team unis onto the original picture. Gives the totally wrong impression that they've been there forever.

Before I understood photoshop I could never figure out how they could get a pro baseball player with the cap on when the trade had just happened that morning

I’ve heard the academic aspect is still important to her and will play a role in her decision. If it’s really that important then Oklahoma is not the school you want to go to.

Nugent's name sounded familiar. Read her bio and saw she was the #3 recruit in 2021. Only had 17 at-bats in 2 years. Shows that OU misses on players as well.

I will be following her career closely. Never got the chance to see her on the field here but based on how much coach Barnett liked her I thought she could give us some depth. Really wishing her well at ASU.

I don't believe she ever gave Texas a chance. She seemed to have been injured since she arrived last fall. It would have been interesting to hear the end of year discussion Coach White had with her. I can't imagine he could have had anything critical to say about her performance, since she didn't play the whole season. Maybe she saw the writing on the wall with the youth of the existing team and with these new stud freshmen coming in competition was going to be tough to make herself a spot on the team. Bartlett may have promised her a good shot at making the field since she is in the building phase at ASU? I guess we will get the chance to see how she performs at ASU. Best of luck to her.

I think it was very obvious when she quit showing up even in the dugout the last 1/3 of the season that she was gone.

Supposedly Texas is in the top 5 for Vawter at the moment with Florida and ou believed to be the top two. UCLA is in it as well so I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
