2023 Recruiting - Football

Recent OL offer Knijeah Harris from IMG Academy was very complimentary of Sark and Coach Flood when talking to IT.

He plans on hitting Austin this spring.

 
S Braxton Myers of Coppell told 247 he's been talking to Texas pretty much every day, and he is "for sure" getting to Austin this spring for a visit.

 
Some notes from various sites in a nutshell.

1. Texas social media seems to be pushing Justice Finkley to the forefront as a difference maker.

2. Ja'Tavion Sanders has given his jersey number to Ewers. They also had some throwing sessions in DFW area before classes started. Supposedly the light has turned on for Sanders and he seems motivated and focused.

3. Kitan Crawford is being moved to boundary safety.

4. Jahdae Barron is cross training at multiple DB positions.

5. Ewers and Card are participating in player driven throwing sessions twice a week

The gags have made massive inroads with Cook. Manning's commitment will have a direct impact on Cooks's decision.
We get Manning, we get Cook. We don't get Manning , I don't like our chances with Cook.

IT and OB have been down on Texas' chances for OL Harris Sewell of Odessa Permian, but they've been hearing more positive things lately.

They don't know if the renewed optimism is because he's talked with QB Arch Manning for a long time, but they're investigating.

Sewell is big on Notre Dame and Oklahoma.

RB Cedric Baxter, Jr. of Orlando, FL is supposed to be on campus with Arch, per IT and OB.
They added that Baxter and Manning have been in touch about this trip together.
 
I thought Manning would not consider Texas after Ewers portaled back to us. He’s really doing his due diligence and obviously not afraid of some competition. Looking good we get him :hookem:
 
Ewers will be a sophomore next season?
So he's a junior Mannings freshman year.
Even if Ewers stays his senior year Manning has a redshirt.
And if we start winning and keep the recruiting train going then Manning could be looking at a few years with a top flight team.
