2023 Recruiting - Football

Please help me - he really likes Oregon & USC, but is shown 100% to the convicts???

Did he like what he saw in Eugene or did he like Mario?

5* edge rusher … #1 at his position nationwide … he visited Texas for the Texas Tech game last fall

As long as he’s at that weight, he’s a “project.” But if he moves really well for his size, is immensely strong, and shows raw talent, he could be worth a take. If he shows up on the 40 at that size, he gets a shirt and a lot of work in S&C.

From Hamilton at IT:

"He is down from 430 pounds last spring. Had him at Elite Underclassmen Camp ... he's got a hell of a lot of ability if he gets down to the 350's. Real foot quickness and ankle flexion."

Coach PK obviously wants that big gap plug on the defensive line.
And anyway he has to he good if we offered him 5 times. :yippee:

At his current size he’s a project, but he may be worth a take. This will become more and more true if, and when, he continues to shed bad weight.

I suppose the fact that he can flex his ankles puts him over the top.

247 reporting there is growing buzz in the coaching community that former Duke HC David Cutliffe will join Texas' staff as an analyst.

This would be a huge move for Sark as Cutliffe is close, and has a history, with the Manning family.

If we hire cutliffe, Arch is a done deal.

If Sark brings Cut in, we will see much different play at the QB position than we have seen in quite some time if ever.

To get a coach of the caliber of Cutcliffe with a mere analyst position would be quite a coup.

Per several sources, QB Arch Manning will take a visit to Texas in late March.

The winter dead period ends on February 28th.
