Good things from two Texas Signees at the TFL

***#5 Texas Bombers Gold-Smith went 10-0 last week and beat #23 Impact Gold-Jackson, 4-2, in the Lone Star 18U final to win the TFL Summer Championships on Sunday in Plano, TX.

The Bombers hit 11 homers as a team and were led by Texas-bound SS Leighann Goode (.524 AVG, 11 RBIs), Louisiana Lafayette-bound OF Mihyia Davis (.583 AVG, .600 OBP) and Tennessee-bound C/3B Destiny Rodriguez (.533 AVG, .667 OBP). The Bombers’ top pitcher was Texas-bound Citaly Gutierrez (3-0, 0.88 ERA).

Couple personal scouting reports from some games i've watched recently:

Leighann Goode
Playing 2B hitting 5th for Bombers Gold. Elite defender with plus speed. Hitting better than I expected with some power. Hits a lot to center field which is a good sign.
Floor: Kaitlyn Slack Ceiling: Devon Tunning

Citlaly Gutierrez
Ace of Bombers Gold. Throws hard with long limbs. More consistent in the zone than I had seen in the past. Best pitch is a curve ball (elite movement), out pitch is a rise ball. Better than the OU commit on the same team.
Floor: Erica Wright Ceiling: Hailey Dolcini

Really looking forward to seeing this kid play. She seems to be all in Texas.
