2022 Recruiting - Football

Well one can't help but think this will catapult recruiting for the horns which has already been doing great but elevate to a whole notha level. We welcome those 5 and 4 stars.

However I don't think this will be fair for a lot of other teams. So we have to develop a 2nd bracket in the playoffs for the lesser teams so that someone else can enjoy a championship also. Yes i'm saying two champions for each college season. This would be good for college football. 1-14 seeds for bracket 1 plus two bye's. 15-30 seeds for bracket 2.
Shorten the regular season by one game ( or not) and do away with conference championship games. These teams that don't get the 5 and 4 star recruits can have something to play for and it will make the regular season relevant and meaningful. I've been pushing this for many years.

I trust he's one of the best of the best but there seems to be little info or evidence. But, "in Sark we trust".

Stone is ranked by Kohl’s Professional Camps as a five-star kicker and a 4.5 star punter.
Stone recently attended a May 2021 Kohl's Showcase.
"The prospect showed well on kickoffs and field goals, as well as punting in the pocket. Stone has a bright future in both kicking and punting. Stone is a talented lefty with an athletic frame. He will have the opportunity to compete at the next level early in his college career. In 2020 at the National Scholarship Camp, Stone scored 23 points on field goals and had an impressive score of 104.18 on kickoffs.
Stone has made nice gains as a punter and that should help him with schools looking for a kicker that can punt well.”

Another source within the specialist world told Horns247 that Stone is one of the best in the nation who “shows phenomenal ball height and great power. He has the ability to bomb kickoffs, but he’s extremely accurate too.”

but he doesn't come from Australia.

Pieces are falling into place for those 10-2,11-1,12-0 seasons in the near future. Just got a quality long snapper and a kicker.
Now we need 4 good horses on the o- line plus one. Its tall order but within sight. One more manster on the d-line. I'm not talking about someone that swings down from the edge but someone like Coburn or Suh.
Then if we can get B Anderson and Harris which looks positive at this point. Also another burner at WR which again looks positive. We are looking good for cheeks at LB.
The university brand will draw in some good ones because that's money. Our brand is in the top three!
If I knew about a stock that looked as good as our future I would buy it. Hmm that might be called gambling. I've already got some action on the red river shootout. We might not win it but I think it will be less than 11.
Sure we've got to prove it on the field, but soon we will be feared. :yikes:

247 saying LB Harold Perkins of Cypress Park raved about his official visit to UT and said he plans on returning in early August once the new end zone has been completed.

He mentioned he fell in love with Coach Kwiatkowski's scheme and appreciated how "real" Sark and the rest of the staff were.

This is the guy I want on our defense!

247 reporting S Larry Turner-Gooden of Mission Hills, CA will be making an unofficial visit to Texas on Monday.

He plans to return for an official visit on October 15th.

Big news here with the potential firing of the Arizona State staff.

Rueben Owens has decommitted.
Well its another reminder of the times where recruits shift from one place to another on a whim. Its the mood in the air. Kids will play hopscotch from team to team. Rosters from season to season will be fluid. I think most of the best though will stay since they are getting PT.

I think Alabama is the culprit here. If Reuben goes there its a top brand so no hurt there for Owens. But don't be surprised if Owens ends up signing with the horns come 2023.

It might be time for us to find a head coach and staff that can bring in and retain 5 star recruits. Don’t even get me started about the O-line recruiting. I thought Sark and Flood were going to bring in the Brock brothers and that didn’t happen. Geez….

I kinda liked the way Charlie told recruits not to commit early.
Take your visits, enjoy yourself and then sign on National signing day.

You know this is coming:
"RECRUITING IS HARD"
(Or at least competitive)
