The OC Darrell Dickey? Posters here and every other longhorns board say he sucks. Yeah, I remember he's from Texas HS coaching royalty.
 
Darrell performed miracles at North Texas - four conference championships and bowl games in a row.

He's done well at his other stops. He's not part of the young Mike Leach/Art Briles alumni group, but he is a sharp football mind. I believe he has only four or five years left to have 20 years in the Texas State Teachers Retirement, which is based on his last three years' salary, that is if the idiots running the system don't bankrupt it before then.

The "donor" that demanded NTSU name their new stadium after Darrell asked to remain anonymous, but was on our 1970 team, and "really will save you money".
 
I ain’t skeerd till they show it on the field. At the same time I ain’t confident til we do the same.
 
"Head Coach in Waiting" was also contrived. I don't care as long as we get who we want and pay them what they're worth.

But we did real well after going 5-7. Now if we were to go something like 9-3, 10-2, we can get even a better class next season. Then we can keep up with the jones's. We can be there next year, especially if we put out the money that A&M does.

According to 247 these are the guys we still have a shot to get with 75 to 100% confidence. There are a couple others interested but most likely going elsewhere. Not sure we need or have room for yet another RB, but I guess if he wants to come get him.

At one time he was going to announce where he is going but obviously he has been pushing back the date. So maybe its this month or NSD2.
Hey when schools are throwing money at you and its growing exponentially then i would wait also.

Williams entering portal is a big surprise.......Riley realy muddied up the rosters of several teams. Guessing OU will become a defensive minded program!

The fade is the most overrated play.in football. The throw and pattern have to be perfect. Shorter DB's have been effectively covering taller WR's since the forward pass became legal. Plus word has it we're in no way the favorite.

What's the word on who's the favorite? Does NIL money become a factor here?

I am surprised we didn't offer Cowing. We definitely need another receiver.

To my knowledge there isn't one. I'm sick to death of the portal crap anyways. To fill a pressing need ok but long term it's a bad strategy. We brought in 6 guys last season and 1 of them was a significant contributor. Two were flat out busts.

Word is he has a child and wanted to be close to home. (Committed to Az today).

Lots of hints and clues that Campbell is in.
It has been leaked by Orangebloods and IT. Even Suchomel “accidentally” called him a signee last week. You can also tell by the lack of buzz on OU sites. Whether it was Campbell or the coaches that leaked it, the word is pretty much out.
Major egg on faces if it doesn't really happen.
