2022 Recruiting - Football

Not a surprise but now that it is a reality, it will be interesting. If we want him and if as reported Texas had been his team, he will come here.

My boss who lives near Southlake and who is very close to the SLC program — his daughter and Riley Dodge were very close in HS — believes that Ewers is really a good kid. What I have observed would suggest to the contrary but who knows? I doubt he’s the next coming of Ryan Perrilloux.

If taking Ewers could blow our chances with Arch Manning — assuming we’re still in the hunt — I would be inclined to pass. No doubt Jimbo is salivating.

First, I don't think Sark has a choice to pass on Ewers. Second, Ewers is only going to play for two years before entering into the NFL. Manning will be behind him one year before taking over. So, I don't see the harm here.

If we get Ewers, considering his pedigree, we may finally close on the must get OL and receivers. May even get Stewart to last minute flip. We would have 2 very good QBs coming in competing. Just saying

Who knows what motivates these kids. Twelve months ago Sark was considered perhaps the top offensive mind in the game, and an outstanding developer of QBs. Today, who knows. Theoretically though that reputation should give Texas some cache.

That woud seem to be good news for Horns if he comes back to his dream school, but interesting that it comes so close to Brown committing to OStU....

Completmenting news would be for Texas to land all the D and O linemen as well as tarnsfers of the Brock's....here is hoping that all this comes about

Any rumblings from the two OL that committed to Oregon? With the current and predicted Oregon staff changes, maybe a chance to bring them back into the fold.
