2022 Recruiting - Football

Sooooo…

We still need:

- multiple more top level OLs—biggest concern (figuratively and literally)
- a few more LBs
- another stud DB or two
- some electrifying playmakers and superstars at any position

maybe we hold off on any more TEs unless he’s a top 50 in the nation sort of player.

Actually, the captains did not make this decision.

How are you so sure? The coaches have the ultimate authority, but they can not afford for it to fracture the team unity. I would imagine that the team, more particularly the seniors have a say in a team meeting, that is then conveyed by the team captains. See also a certain all world RB at Northshore, who has not cracked the starting lineup at TCU.

It’s his life and decision, but I’d think another year of in-game football experience would be better preparation for college ball than any amount of private training and coaching.

Caveat—if he’s recovering from an injury and not near full speed, maybe sit out until he’s fully healed (or close to it) and close to full speed. Think J Whittington last year.

That dude at TCU you referenced seemed to be a real head case during the recruiting process.

Just something I know, don’t mean to be cryptic. Blue is a head case, hopefully he turns it around. Agree with your example.

Quency Wiggins, 6'6" 274 lbs **** DL out of Louisiana, was at the pool party and apparently likes our D staff a lot. "This exceeded everything" said Quency Wiggins.

As we know, it's exceptionally tough to take the very blue blue chips from LSU in their home state, but... what used to be cheating is now legal. (once the athlete is enrolled and sells you his signature or lets you take a selfie with him, etc.; NIL) This takes away LSU's biggest recruiting advantage $$$$.

I did not realize the above tweet from oneway becrappy actually is 4* DE Jamond Tapp (I originally thought it was from someone else sent to him). BUT no, he is mocking the LSU crystal ball predictions for him ...

Is LSU gaining ground on four-star edge prospect J'mond Tapp?

Apparently the Aggies figured out how. Jacoby Mathews has decommitted from LSU and is going to CS this weekend. 5 star from Louisiana.

I think he's the guy whose dad likes Black's BBQ banana pudding so much. I don't think they have one of those in Bryan/College Station...

CS seems to be doing well on the recruiting trail.
Yes and i think someone is passing out money freely.
So we better do the same!
The traditional way of recruiting is falling by the wayside. We are in a different era where money does the talking.
I'm not talking about NIL. I am talking about offering hundreds of thousands of dollars to sign the dotted line. I mean if we want to compete.
Aggie is just getting the jump.

You could have said that it is the $EC way after all.

Doesn't NIL now ensure money can be passed freely? Of course, all things being equal they will still funnel money under the table...
