I've read posts on this board disparaging the intelligence of Sheila Jackson Lee that didn't seem racist or unfair. I don't think the D after your name or color of your skin create immunity from being considered to have unexceptional intelligence. Mr. Obama and Mr. Walker may have similar skin tones, but their ability to sound competent and intelligent on television are at variance. "Racist" is a term tossed around too loosely. When logic fails, name calling can be a persuasive rhetorical device to an unsophisticated audience.I remember a recent Presidential candidate who seemed to profit by attaching disparaging labels on his opponents.Can you say all those things about a black person who has (D) after his name?
Example: Saying Obama's ideas or policies on something were stupid was called racist. But, we can say all this about Herschel Walker?
