Some likely engage in flagrant insider trading. Some invest in startup companies and use their names and influence to steer cash rust toward those companies. And of course, some go full Hunter Biden and use US foreign policy to manipulate powerful overseas entities to pay off their friends (and indirectly, them). It's a dirty business, and since both sides do it, it's rarely seriously examined.
