2022 House and Senate election

There's time to right the ship, but like in 2010, there's a very good chance that we will underperform in the Senate because of our crappy candidates. Those races are harder to overcome by improving on the generic ballot. Frankly, I'll be pleased if we're still 50-50 after Election Day.
@Mr. Deez I think you are right (as always) - look at this poll:

Uh, silly question I’m sure but why is that polling article dated 2016?
Shhhhh!!!!

Because it shows how polls are skewed towards dems. Toomey won that race despite that poll being released one week before Election Day.

Yeah, good riddance. I was pro-Cheney at one time, but once she started echoing the Left's talking points and especially when she attacked Desantis, she lost whatever respect I had for her. And of course, all the self-righteous Democrats who are cheering her on today would have been backing her opponent if Wyoming was competitive.

Cheney managed less than 30% in Wyoming. To make that even WORSE, when placed in perspective, her campaign was urging Demx voters to cross-over and vote in the Republican primary. And she STILL got an epic ***-kick...

There is just something so satisfying about this.
Liz Cheney goes on NBC yesterday and blasts Kevin McCarthy
"We need leaders who have reverence for our Constitution, who are faithful to our Constitution, and who are going to do what's required to abide by our oath," Cheney said on NBC's "Today" show, "no matter whether or not it's politically convenient. Kevin McCarthy certainly does not fit that bill."

A McCarthy aide responded with a Dick Cheney quote from 1976
"Dick Cheney said at the time: "Principle is OK up to a certain point, but principle doesn't do any good if you lose."
:lmao::trophy:

That was one poll, and Toomey was a solid candidate. He was at least from Pennsylvania. We'll start with that.

Believe me, I'll be much happier if I end up being wrong on this, but it looks bad all the way around.

Do you think this is some big takedown by Oz? Neither look good, but far more people can identify with a guy who lived at home for a long time and a guy who doesn't know how many houses he has.

Frankly, Oz should handle his wealth more like how Trump did, though I might boast less often. Lean into it, and be proud of it. However, show empathy for people with less without pretending to identify with it. Trump actually had a pretty good knack for that. He would brag about his wealth in one breath but show empathy and respect for working class people in the next breath.

the michigan gov race is a pleasant surprise - Whitmer only leading by 5pts over Dixon. I tend to discount these polls as pro-Dem bias by 3-4pts so I would bet Dixon is really pretty close to a dead heat.

Polls can be fun...they usually make clear in the first few questions what the agenda is and then the games begin.

AARP actually impressed me the other day...it was a well-structured list of questions and I couldn't discern it was them until it got towards the end.

Anyone who puts real faith in polls is just fooling themselves...

I think Dixon has a chance. She's a decent candidate. And yes, she's cute . . .
