I believe Yo was hired at Ole Miss by the AD who is now at A&M... might be a connection there.

Yeah... there are some things shared here that are suspect for sure. I'm sure you have noticed, as have others and I, the occasional fake "Rah rah Texas" accompanied by intentional misinformation.;)

In what way? I only ask because Drake is a D-1 program so it’s a much better sample size than bringing a young D2 coach into the fold.

But what do I know, I was also on record saying that coach B would fail and I am still picking that crow out of my teeth.

Going with a younger, up-and-coming coach who has success at a program outside of a P5 conference (regardless of Division level). I didn't expect OU to have as much success this season either so you're not the only one. However, I am still not totally convinced.

We stand corrected... Grand Canyon is in the WAC so that's DIV I. I actually have a friend from college whose daughter is one of Grand Canyon's leading scorers.
 
So, when Tina Thompson left Texas for Virginia, who from our staff went with her? I remember Fran Harris being one, but can't even recall her role at Texas, and position she accepted at Virginia. I used to love listening to Fran doing radio broadcasts of our games alongside Craig Way.

Fran is the only person I recall that left with Tina. I believe that Fran left Virginia a few years ago. She may have moved back to Austin.
 
He had some really good seasons at WVU. But, he's lost so many players to transfer, that he's had to rely on transfers to replace them. Definitely didn't work out this season.

 
Since we're discussing Carey, this was from a couple of days ago. And, don't forget he suspended senior Niblack for what turned out to be their (her) final game against ISU in KC. Perhaps that harsh "coach's decision" didn't sit well with the other players.

There aren't any quality 5's in the portal (as of yet) so I would expect Moore, Gaston, Lattimore and maybe even Rickea would all need to play the 4 & 5 positions. Factoring injuries etc we need another big.

We don’t know if Ebo is coming back or not. Hard to think Vic would take her after she left Ms St. I agree we need another big, but if Ebo doesn’t come back, I would think we would look for a true 5. That would not be Esmery. I just don’t see it, She is a good player though....

She then was supposed to be headed to Texas, after leaving MSU . . . and then bailed on TexasWBB, as well.

Exactly why she wouldn't be pursued... double whammy against her already. Plus, with the young talent we have at the "4" there is no need for her.
