The voting panel were from other P5 head coaches. There were about 5 who are head coaches of top 20 teams. As far as resources goes, Texas is easily the best job we just need the fan base to step it up and then we can really say Texas is the best job. The moody center needs to sell out every game especially since It’s only 10,000 in the arena.Well, that was one subjective poll, and we have no idea who comprised the voting panel.
A lot depends on the salaries being offered. If Vic is gonna try to lure away some established assistant coaches, then he has to offer them a sizeable raise from their current salaries. Especially with how expensive it has become to find a place to live in Austin.
There are other intangibles as to why coaches seek a new job. When Vic left MSU, it was mainly because he wanted to return to the state of Texas for family reasons. The assistant coaches he hired one year ago didn't come for that reason.
