I think you hit the nail on the head by saying KM recruited over her. Bringing in Carrington who was a McDonald's and Jordan Brand HS All-American with three years of high level playing experience at Stanford pushed her aside. I have never understood how Trinity gets more time than Jordyn, but I figured that's their business... they're not my team.I mean, she was highly-ranked in her class. She may have even made a summer USA team at one point, or come close. But, doesn't seem like that translated at Baylor. Typically, the less athletic signees (like Natalie Chou) are the ones who don't fit Baylor's system. Oliver seemed to be super-athletic, but her less-heralded and less athletic cousin (Trinity) has seen much more playing time at Baylor than Jordyn.
Maybe being recruited over created some resentment towards the coach and hence some mutual disdain? Then there's KM's moving Didi to PG, who got the job done but certainly wasn't natural, while true PGs are riding the bench.
I say all the time kids need to make sure they study a coach's style and tendencies, and be careful about WHO they sign with as opposed to just signing with a school for it's winning reputation. Everything/everyone ain't for everybody. I hope Jordyn finds a good fit where she can thrive and fulfill her potential, and I wouldn't mind if Texas was it -- if it were the right fit.
