2021 Transfer Season

If you recall, former Baylor PG, Alexis Morris transferred to Rutgers, but then entered the transfer portal this past Spring. She has put out some recent tweets that indicate she wants to return to the state of Texas to finish out her collegiate career, but also tweeting that Baylor has some kind of "holds" in place; can't imagine what say-so Baylor would have on where where she transfers next.

I think she will be going to A&M

Holding up a player that you will never have back isn't a good look for KM and Co, especially given how many transfers they've taken in over the past several years. Let the kid go play wherever she wants, you've got your stockpile already.

You are correct, aggy announced it this morning.
Blair has some really good talent coming in with transfers. You have to wonder how long he plans to coach with him being in the last year of his contract. And the fact that he’s at the highest risk being 70+ years old in the this COVID-19 world and what that would mean for Vic.

I’m not so worried about Vic bolting for aggy - all of the factors you mention were in play when he accepted the Texas job. If he was dead set on taking the aggy job in the near future, it would have made much more sense to stay at Miss St where he would’ve had a much higher ranked team this season, system in place, and had just built his dream home rather than resetting with a Texas program for 1-2 years.

Well, it looks like all plans regarding basketball will probably have to wait at least another year.

Honestly you could move basketball to the spring and it would be much more easier than moving football or volleyball.
While that may be true, if there’s no football it means that money isn’t coming in so they probably would just cancel fall sports and maybe even all sports for the year to save money.

Very true but I believe they willl move to the spring before they cancel all together and I also am hearing that penn state, Michigan, Nebraska and ohio state might be coming to the Big 12 for the upcoming season so I don't think the big 12 wants to cancel the season at all.

What’s going to be different with the virus come this spring? A rushed vaccine isn’t a guarantee. I also doubt those teams are going anywhere.

Hey don't shoot the messanger I'm just stating what's being discussed. If a vaccine does happen rushed or not the NCAA and universities will look at that and use that as a reason to bring football and all sports back full speed ahead. Of course there will still be restrictions but worries about fans and staff etc.. will go out the door as many will take the vaccine.

IMO moving anything to spring is just another way of saying the season is still canceled. Also keep in mind the teams would essentially have to play 2 seasons in one year.

Not surprising at all. I think any Tech transfer will receive immediately eligibility; but, transferring within the Big 12 could be an issue. Gordon could end up at Alabama with her younger sister.

Maybe the lack of news of the replacement coach or maybe they just have bad memories of playing there and just need anyplace other than Tech. So pretty much just left with Brittany Brewer as their best player.

While I'm not exactly the world's biggest Tech fan, I am glad to see Krista be able to keep her top two players. I'd like to see her do well there, as long as it's not against us. I should be careful, as I said the same thing regarding Baylor about 20 yrs ago...

Keep as much talent in the Big 12 as possible.

Im hearing she may get a grad transfer from another local school soon that will make them very competitive. Cant give the name but be on the lookout.

Johnnie Harris just began following Vivian Gray, who I assume will land at Texas Tech.
That named seemed so familiar and Google helped me remember. She was a 5 star, shockingly chose Fort Lewis (D2) where her older sister was attending (mom's college) and then both of them transferred to OK State in 2018. So....she's probably a grad transfer and would be immediately eligible? I know that Texas was interested in her, but she not so much.
