2021 Season

Is it on TV?
Baylor won 67-62. I will say they are definitely beatable. For sure not a top 5 team. Texas can without a doubt challenge them for a big 12 title. It might just be Texas vs Iowa state based on what I watched from Baylor. They will of course get better over the season but so will everyone else. They don't have that go to player that like they did years past with Brown and Cox. If Texas can keep Smith off the offensive glass then Texas can for sure get this team.

What about DiDi Richards? She’s out with back injury. She is reigning BIG12 defensive player of year and had moved to point guard. However, it is great that they are not dominating. Looking forward to playing them soon.

Egbo carried them tonight. Smith didn’t play well tonight. For someone who gets as much accolades as she does, she seems to have games like this quite often.

I definitely think we can challenge Baylor, but I'm not so quick to judge what I saw from them tonight. USF is a well-coached and experienced team that gave Baylor fits last season, and actually beat us. I'm glad both our games against BU will be toward the end of the season. Both teams will be much improved by then.

I am cautiously optimistic that the Horns will be in EVERY game this year. None of those 20-30 point non-compete games. Schaefer preaches D and it will keep you in most games....if not all. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a real conference race this year. And seeing Mulkey melt-down in some games.

Richards was back on the court tonight... she didn't start but played most of the game.

Noticed that Trinity Oliver for Baylor is now healthy. She’s a good kid and deserves to stay that way. Also noticed that the bears were 0-11 from BTA. Andrews was 1-6 and Smith 1-10 from the field. Carrington was 2-8. Their shooting “may” be suspect. Never too early to help Schaefer strategize against the bears.

Trinity actually played pretty well, too.

I'm still in shock that analyst had the nerve to say that Collier is not a top 25 player in the ncaa. You can't be a projected 1st pick in the draft and not be top 25 in college. Although she could be the first pick I hope she stays one more year.
Well, if she's a defending national champion, I suspect she might :)

Praise God Didi is ok. Get some Kleenex b4 viewing video. I ain't crying I had something in my eye.

Last year the Big 12 destroyed the SEC in the B12-Sec Challenge. This year the SEC took every game except West Virginia who beat Tennessee. While Texas lost to A&M, in another old SWC matchup even Baylor fell to Arkansas.

The SEC is rounding back into the murders row that it once was. I remember at one point (I forget the season) Tenn, LSU, Ole Miss, Vandy, UGA and Auburn all being ranked in the top 25. Now it looks like USC, UK, MSU, Arky, A&M, Tenn and UGA will all be able to put up a fight on any given night

Alabama is 4-0 as well, beat OK State recently

I remember those years including attending the final four match ups between Tennessee and Georgia in ‘95 and ‘96.

What a difference Ayoka Lee makes for Kansas State.

KaSt loses at home to Idaho State without Lee, 65-50.

KaSt upsets #22 South Dakota State with Lee, 62-53.

I love the way Ayoka Lee plays around the basket. She brings that old school post play that you don't see a whole lot of anymore. Most post players these days are much more versatile with their skill sets, and there aren't a whole lot of "true" centers anymore.

According to The Athletic about 15 minutes ago the waiver will pass on Wednesday to allow ALL transfers immediate eligibility. It specifically mentions Ebo, Owens at Baylor and a few others. Aggies get one too. This has been a rumor but appears to be going to pass.
