2021-2022 Season

Kansas State will be playing at South Carolina in the Big 12/SEC challenge. So, that could mean we will play at Miss. State or Kentucky; or, we could all be surprised if our game at Tennessee is deemed part of the challenge.
West Virginia will play at Kentucky. So, we're either at Miss. State, or our game at Tennessee will count as part of the challenge. Maybe there will be a surprise.

I think Texas will be matched up with either Alabama or Mississippi State.

Big 12 - SEC Challenge
Dec. 1, West Virginia @ Kentucky
Dec. 2, Iowa State @ LSU
Dec. 2, Georgia @ Texas Tech
Dec. 3, Kansas State @ South Carolina
Dec. 5, Oklahoma State @ Auburn
Dec. 5, Missouri @ Baylor
Dec. 5, Florida @ TCU
Dec. 5, Vanderbilt @ Kansas

SEC Sitting Out: Arkansas, Mississippi
Missing Big 12 schedule: Texas, Oklahoma
Missing SEC schedule: Alabama, Mississippi State, Tennessee (I think Vols will be sitting out because like Ar and Ms, Tn has played in the challenge 3 consecutive years), Texas A&M (Texas played A&M last year and there's never been a re-match the following season in the challenge)

Alabama played at OSU last season. So, they would be in line to host a Big 12 team this season. Could be us.

Revision: Alabama released their schedule and to my surprise they are not scheduled for the Big 12 challenge.

Revision: Tennessee released their schedule, which includes Texas on Nov. 21 in Knoxville without designating the game as part of the Big 12-SEC Challenge (The Vols will also face Kansas and Oklahoma State in Las Vegas). The Vols have played in the challenge for 3 consecutive years just like Arkansas and Mississippi who have been removed from the challenge. That means Texas most likely will be matched up with Mississippi State in the Big 12-SEC Challenge. The other missing pair will be Oklahoma and Texas A&M. The Big 12-SEC Challenge has never paired the same teams from the previous year, so I don't believe it'll be Texas v. Texas A&M again.

I'm excited for this probable Texas v. Mississippi State match up. I'm sure Nikki McCray is NOT and did everything she could to get out of this game. It would not surprised me if ESPN had something to do with this match up for ratings. It would make sense for this game to be in Starkville, a sort of homecoming for Coach Vic where the fans still love him.

The renewal package that came in the mail yesterday lists out the home non-conference:
11/9 - New Orleans
11/17 - Southeast Missouri
11/27 - Cal State Northridge
12/1 - Jackson State
12/11 - Idaho
12/29 - Alcorn State

I guess someone will have to punch us in the face for us to see some stars.

So we travel to: Stanford, Tennessee, and Mississippi State??

The gentleman in black wasn’t clear enough lmao! The guy next to coach April is the guy in black I was referring to.
Actually I only count 12 now since you mention that that is Coach April in the back by the mystery man in the black shirt. I was only counting white shirts. To many are blocking each other to even confirm who all is there?

Reads more like an SEC nonconference football schedule than Texas WBB.

Looks like Vic is right, no one will come to Austin to play 94 feet of no fun.

It looks like they're going to have to try to build the fan base going into the new arena next year because that home schedule isn't going to cut it in terms of getting people to the games.

It certainly isn't very appealing. If I were guessing, though, I don't think it's a result of us not trying to put together a more challenging schedule. Of course that's just my guess... I have no way of knowing for sure.

That's got to be the worst non-conference home schedule we've ever had. :e-thumbs-down:

Cal State Northridge. Season cancelled 20-21, no games played.
Jackson state finished 18-6. Won their conference tournament and lost to Baylor in first round of the NCAA tournament. Score 101-52
Idaho finished 17-7 and did not advance past there conf tourney
Alcorn state finished 7-13

hmmmm!
