Rumor out there that RB Zach Evans got into a heated argument with his coaches and has been suspended fro the next 3 games. Have not seen this confirmed yet.

If you dont already know, Katy upset the defending state champs and #2 ranked team nationally by USA Today 24-21, despite GPNS leading 21-7 at half. Evans barely saw the ball in the second half, having just one carry in the 3Q. Weird strategy for sure

The rumor is that Evans got into it with some teammates. He then cussed out one of the coaches, so the head coach added another game to his suspension. In response, Evans quit. This is all unverified, just what is out there.

I hope he goes to aggie

One, two or even three commits are possible this weekend (sounds more like 2021s than 2020s). IT says they have already written their articles just in case.

Wiltfong on our opportunity this weekend, in terms of recruiting --

"..... Herman and his staff are hoping that juice will rub off on the recruiting section for this one as they welcome in what one source says will be the largest recruiting weekend at Texas during the Herman era to date.
* * *
...... Running back Ty Jordan is the major uncommitted senior set to attend. “This game has been talked about for a few years now,” Jordan told 247Sports. “A lot at stake. Anxious to see how well they move the ball on offense and how they incorporate the running back outside of running plays.”

With the recruiting cycle pushing decision timelines up to the spring and summer for many of the 2020 prospects, this game is even more about making an impression on the 2021s, 2022s and beyond in the crowd. “I’m very excited to feel the atmosphere on game day,” Bellaire (Texas) Episcopal Academy Top247 offensive lineman Donovan Jackson said. He will walk on campus as the No. 4 prospect in Texas, the No. 8 offensive tackle in the land and No. 35 prospect overall according to the Top247 Player Rankings. “What excites me about Texas is the strong combination of athletics and education. Having it close to home doesn’t hurt either.

“I’m extremely excited to see all the coaches and just get to spend time with them,” said another Top247 prospect in defensive end Landon Jackson out of Texarkana (Texas) Pleasant Grove, who is the No. 6 player in the state. Other priority 2021s expected include the nation’s No. 1 offensive tackle Tommy Brockermeyer, the country’s No. 1 running back Camar Wheaton, the No. 3 offensive tackle in the land Savion Byrd and the No. 3 athlete in America Ja'Tavion Sanders who is trending Texas in the 247Sports Crystal Ball.

Herman and company will certainly be excited to see the likes of Top247 defensive end Tunmise Adeleye, Top247 receiver JoJo Earle, four-star center James Brockermeyer, Top247 running back LJ Johnson, tight end Var'Keyes Gumms along with several big-time 2022s including cornerback Denver Harris, Top247 offensive tackle Kam Dewberry and Top247 receiver Caleb Burton.

“Looking forward to seeing the atmosphere mostly and the level of play Texas will be at!” James Brockermeyer said. “The new era of Texas is what excites me, and I’m blessed to have the opportunity to go to this game,” Dewberry said. ...."

Biggest recruiting weekend of Tom Herman era at Texas on tap

If it's true - which I cant say. But if he really is off the team, then no doubt that will come out. Exactly what happened will probably depend upon personal perspective. We will see.

OK, so IT has confirmed the suspension after the loss to Katy.
On the removal from the team rumor, they said they heard that too, but things can change.

"Zach's part of our program, and he's a phenomenal talent, as everybody knows," said Kay, who added he did not know if Evans will play next week. "We're working through some things but we love him to death, he's a great teammate, and we're going to continue to work."

We are supposed to have 46 visitors
So I am missing one
if I counted right

ps - Camar Wheaton is confirmed
ps2 - also a rumor that Alabama commit Latrell McCutchin from LBJ asked for tickets to LSU but we told him we didnt have room.

Seems like alot of visitors + Mike Roach on the radio said that there may be a couple of surprise visitors who don't want to be announced til after they have arrived.

In his first game of 2019, RB commit Bijan Robinson scored 5 TDs, bringing his career total to 77 and just two scores away from tying his school's record. He already holds virtually all of his school's other rushing records.

Princely is aiming at being an EE. I thought this story about him was fake news because it just sounded too unreal - but people are now repeating it on the radio

Corrected 2022 and 2023 list
2022 Recruits
CB Austin Jordan (Denton Ryan)

TFB has some stuff today on 2022 CB Austin Jordan

Jordan was a member of Denton Ryan’s 4×200 team that went to state last year and is one of the most athletic players on a stacked Denton Ryan squad

“I was supposed to go to an Ohio State camp, but (expenses) got in the way and I’m only a sophomore,” said Jordan following his week one win.

Jordan accompanied Billy Bowman Jr. and Ja’Tavion Sanders on a visit to Texas earlier this summer and has the Longhorns high on his mind early on.

“Texas is really nice, and if I get an offer…” and he left it at that.

“I always liked Texas, I would read stories about Vince Young and USC and all of that.”

Coming off of the Sugar Bowl win and a growing sense of confidence around the program, Jordan really wants to see “progression” in the upcoming season. “They have more recruits coming in, want to see how they do and hopefully they make it to the playoffs.”

Jordan mentioned Oregon as another school he grew up being a fan of.

** Right now, I have no reason to believe that Texas would not be his leader if they extend an offer in the near future. With Coach De La Torre, Billy Bowman Jr., and potentially Ja’Tavion Sanders all pushing for the burnt orange, it’s hard to think Texas won’t be atop his mind for the next year or so.
