2020 Recruiting - Football

JF, strange he would put this up in a Texas uniform no?

Yeah, didn't think he was like that. He never took an official, and since he already signed, he can't. We need a lot more talent like him, bummer we lost out to Georgia or Oregon.

This video is proof he has been tackled before. I was starting to wonder if that has ever happened. :smile1:
What I find interesting is without a good hit, it seems to take 5 - 7 guys to get him stopped.

There is a play in one of the highlighted games where the other team makes an interception and Bijan tackles the returner with extreme authority. It is a real "Whoa!" moment.

Seems his worst skill is blocking.

He's not signed. He's the top rated uncommitted recruit.
I wonder about his "It's great to be a .......?" tweet also. Most have assumed he has signed somewhere to be announced at the all-star game. I wonder whether it is just a tease?

Interestingly it was right before, during or immediately after Texas (Herman et al) made an in home visit.

Regardless, they really need to offer and sign Ennis Rakestraw. Other than Ringo, he is the most technically advanced CB I have seen this year. He has played against the best receivers in Texas and shut them down.

I repeat: Where is his offer?

I’ll going to try and temper my exuberance but with basically nothing to do until September, it’s going to be tough. That said, the last time we (I?) had this level of anticipation for “the next Earl or Ricky” might have been the two consecutive years, Malcolm Brown and Johnathan Gray. That didn’t turn out quite as we had hoped.

BR just seems like a can’t miss, and he is such a great kid. The one caveat would be the level of competition he faced in Tucson. It doesn’t compare to what he would have faced in Texas.

1) Kelee Ringo | CB | Saguaro (Ariz.)

Who knows, Much like Bru last year and maybe even Collins this year as well. Rumor is they signed and will announce later at an all star game. If he takes another visit then I guess we'll know if he's signed or not. His only official visits were to Oregon and Georgia. Georgia fans I know seem worried he's going to be a duck. Seems to me though he's going to Georgia and just being an idiot on social media... He visited them last right before NSD.

He's not one of the guys I've heard of with a "silent signing", but maybe so. I'm not in the loop on anything much except what I read here or hear on local radio. :smile1: I would be surprised if he had already signed with Georgia or Oregon then posted a pic of himself in a Longhorn jersey. If I were the coach I would be a little peeved.

One big difference. Back when we got Brown and Gray, we were trying to be something we were not and didn't have the offensive line to give them the support they needed. We are 3 years into the Herman hiring and we have a solid group of linemen that will be able to run the offense Herman runs.

The #1 reason I don't think he is trolling us, is that he is very close to his coach, Bryant Westbrook. I don't think he would troll us out of respect for him.

He’s trolling someone...as apparently his twitter page has also featured a picture with an Oregon jersey as well.

Then there’s this (sorry if it has already been posted):

Is Kelee Ringo trolling all of us? | NBC Sports Northwest

PS. I’m not impressed. But I’m sure that Deion Sanders would have done exactly the same back in the day if he could have. (But I still don’t like it.)

Zach Evans will be on his 2nd NFL contract before aggy faces Georgia again.
So that's sort of a win for aggy
Evans' raw talent might get him to the NFL. His Manzel-like arrogance and stupidity will likely prevent him from getting a second contract.

Okay, after reading that article, I'm pretty sure we are being trolled. He hasn't given us an official and he is basically trolling everyone. I'm going to say, we are getting trolled and need to move on. :brickwall:

I'm good with going after the kid from Duncanville and the Manning kid. Both are looking good. I'd go so far as to take both if they are willing to come.

As long as we get Collins, I'm good, we need pass rushing DEs not more than ever.

Stanford LB Andrew Pryts (6''1,200 to 225) portaled himself.
Looks like he is grad transfer.
Led them with 72 tackles last year.

WR Dee Anderson was a 4-star out of DeSoto in 2016

Prior to the start of summer camp, Anderson was indefinitely suspended because “[h]e had some conditioning stuff to get done.” That suspension extended into the regular season as the wide receiver missed the first two games of the year. In mid-September, Ed Orgeron confirmed that the suspension would remain in place for the rest of the year.

Three months later, it’s now being reported that Anderson has entered the NCAA transfer database. The redshirt junior graduated from the university last week.

If he moves on, he would be eligible to play at another FBS school in 2020. That would serve as his last season of eligibility.

Anderson could also forego that remaining eligibility altogether and make himself available for the 2020 NFL Draft.

It did not seem to me that he had a very good college résumé to get drafted highly.

Perhaps he comes back? Enlists in a Yancy McKnight like regimen so he will be fit for the fall?

Too bad Texas really does not have room for him.

Not sure how you figure this. We will likely finish the cycle under the 85 limit by 2 or 3 scholarships. If he can get into a grad school (and that is a big if) he would likely be a welcomed addition to this team. I personally love the idea of bringing in a LSU WR to help us prepare for the game in Baton Rogue.

Texas is losing two wide receivers and having at least two wide receivers come in, depending on where athletes are assigned.

Did Burt redshirt and is he coming back? Pouncy has announced plans to transfer. Bru left. We can take more than 2 receivers.
