This is obviously why Biden is basically not campaigning. He isn't good at it. He was never great at it, but now he's a liability. Biden is better off not talking and just letting Trump make mistakes and letting the media do his bidding. I have no expectation of seeing debates this year. They'll blame Covid, but that's a BS excuse. Debates could easily be held with social distancing and without masks. The candidates could agree to stay six feet apart. The moderator is much further away than that, and there doesn't have to be an in-person audience.

The more they keep Biden out of the spot light, the better his numbers get.

An ironic thing about Biden is that although he was veep for 8 years, Obama kept him quarantined the last 4-5 years of Obama's Presidency more rigorously than Covid has. They recognized his "open mouth, insert foot" tendencies early on.

I think that to people who don't follow politics, Biden looks like a safe choice; a kindly looking, well groomed, old white guy, that they recognize from his years as VP. Best of all he isn't Trump who, as the MSM has told them over and over, is a Nazi devil worshiper, that is trying to take their health care away.
