2020 Presidential Debate #1 Thread

Yeah UT I finally had to tell my wife to go into another room, she couldn’t stop b***** thru the whole thing.

I ended up a bit behind. yes, absurd that Wallace asks that Trump ask his supporters not to allow civil unrest. Jesus, it is dems only who ever riot etc when they lose.

It was the constant interruptions by Trump and Wallace shorting him without doing same with Biden. She’s an unabashed Trump supporter so was upset thinking he was ruining his spot.

No fraud in mail in ballots since the Civil War lol. Yeah, those are absentee ballots, not ballots mailed to every ******* citizen. Biden is a ******* retard.

"Will you shut up, man?" So unpresidential, rude, and boorish. Should immediately have disqualified Biden according to so many cry babies.

Wallace lets Biden get away with not answering on packing the Court. Lets him rant about getting out and voting. Such ********.

Ha, even Hannity asks how Biden gets away with not answering about packing the Court. His "colleague". Hilarious.

1) That was a total s**t show by everyone involved. I knew it would be bad, but not that bad.

2) It isn't the moderators job to correct an inaccuracy.
I was furious when (was it Susan Rice?) backed up the lie by HRC about claiming Benghazi was never explained as a reaction to a movie.
If Trump could have kept his cool he wouldn't have missed several opportunities to bury Biden. ex: Biden saying he didn't believe in the New Green Deal. Instead of talking about the economy, Trump could have calmly said, "well, your VP is for it. AOC, who you have said will be your pick for the Environmental spot, is a huge proponent. Those picks make me think you are being disingenuous."
Trump should have corrected the "good people on both sides" lie, he needs to repeat the truth of this as often possible. Should have spoken more clearly about what he has done for black Americans. I'm betting Trump's wishy-washy answer about denouncing white nationalists will be the big take away for Biden supporters

3) If Biden has the guts to debate again, give the moderator a mute option for the man who is interrupting. It was shameful of both men. Trump interrupted more, Biden name called and became more personal in his insults. In my humble opinion, Biden was definitely on a stimulant of some sort. He was on the edge of totally losing it near the end. Perhaps if Trump had let him speak, he would have made one of his patented "gaffes", although, "shut up", "you're a racist", "you're the worst President this country has ever had" were pretty bad. However, his followers believe this already.

4) Biden is really, really banking on Covid. Even attaching it to racism? Again, another lost opportunity for Trump to recall all the Dems downplaying Covid in the early months and denouncing Trump's China travel ban.

Remember the days when a simple sigh from one candidate while the other was speaking was headline news?
I miss those days.

Trump had a better grasp recalling numbers and the like (whether you agreed with them or not). Biden seemed shaky with the numbers. Some of the things Biden said was shockingly bad (insults and lies). He did land some blows on Trump. Trump employed a throw in the kitchen sink approach as if knew this would be the last debate. He needed to be more surgical.

Haven't watched the debate yet, but I will tonight. I'll probably drink all of these. I'm getting them ready. I pretty much needed a heavy buzz to get through the 2016 debates.

That was almost unwatchable. The moderator definitely needs a mute button. Each candidate has a right to speak for 2 min uninterrupted even if what they're saying is moronic.

I agree Trump coulda nailed Biden on a number of things had he just kept his cool and let Biden expose himself.

THAT is why I will not vote for either Trump or Biden. While I don't agree with Biden on most things, he and Wallace were correct to tell Trump to SHUT THE F UP!!! He was a complete joke. Biden was a deer in headlights. Neither candidate was there to "win" over undecided voters. They lost voters with that circus.
