2019 Recruiting - WBB

Sedona Prince was also at the camp this weekend. She's probably practicing since the USA U18 camp is coming up. Never hurts to have a high profile Horn at these events.

Even better, seems they invited Sedona as a player-coach. She dwarfs that little girl.

A few days ago on the Baylor board, skilledup posted the following in reply to questions about some specific players; had only seen Liz Scott linked to A&M in past social media, so not sure where his info is coming from:

(Jaden) Owens is in between Texas and Baylor from what I have been told.

(Sarah) Andrews is leaning more towards Baylor.

(Taylor) Jones was a kid that somewhat surprised a few schools. No one saw that one coming.

Liz (Scott) I am hearing wants to go to Baylor, but Texas is really recruiting her at the moment.

2021 will be based on what Andrews decides.

How accurate has Skilledup been in the past?

Rickea Jackson won the Detroit Free Press Girls Basketball Player of the Year Award

@Oakman -- I know Rickea Jackson and Jordan Horston are friends. Do you know which schools they have in common on their list of favorites? Do they have a strong enough bond that their friendship would influence their decisions?

Zia Cooke is very private about recruiting. Her Twitter account is protected and she hasn't gone public with her final list of schools. Here is a clip from February when Dawn Staley watched her practice. At this time, Zia had a list of 7 favorite schools (that were not revealed). She wants to make a decision before the start of her senior year. Hopefully, she'll visit Texas this Summer.

This clip shows Cooke's style of play. The opposing team couldn't guard her as she seemed to drive to the basket at will.

They are friendly wouldn’t have an issue playing with each other but my money is on they will end up in different conferences. Still hearing Rikea has Texas as one of her top schools but don’t expect to hear her announcement anytime soon

I don’t think Texas was ever a serious contender but F Fran Belibi from Colorado committed to Stanford over Notre Dame, Harvard and Princeton. She also held offers from Tennessee, S Carolina and Duke among dozens of others. Belibi made news when the 6-1 F dunked in a game early in the 2017 season.

Sedona will be heading out to Colorado Springs, Colorado for the U18 trials soon:

looks like most players Texas is interested in are in Group 1, as far as I am aware of interest. Jersey #s are from the current photos.

huh, just noticed that all the recruiting threads for 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 have WBB attached to the year. Wonder why since this is the WBB board and that should be not be a necessary distinction.

Good question for @Dionysus
Dionysus will pin a post/thread but it has to have already been posted. Dionysus doesn't change the post's title, unless it conflicts with Hornfans' guidelines.

Never did when I started the recruiting posts such as the 2017 thread and earlier ones. And I didn't use WBB in those threads. Guess some are just used to having to differentiate between MBB and WBB, even when the two have separate boards.

Celeste Taylor, Zia Cooke and Jordan Horston must have had a good performance today at the USA Trials.
Jordan and Zia are in the front wearing the USA shirts and Celeste is sitting behind them. I believe Gabby Hutcherson is in the green shirt (2020 from Ohio).
