2018 Recruiting - Football

Clayton Williams had that election in the bag until he shoved his foot in his mouth if my memory of it holds up.

Years ago I used to wait on Ann Richards & some of her.. ahem... 'rough around the edges' female friends at a campus area restaurant. She was kind of a turd. That's all I got :hookem:

^And resulted in the office of Governor going to Ann Richards - not one of the best eras in Texas history.
I am 41 and I am certainly old enough to remember that. It was the most self unaware comment I have ever heard in a politician. There are certain things you simply don't even attempt to make a joke about. Rape is one.

You have no idea what that woman almost did. No, that is not a political statement or philosophy, but a fact, and one of the biggest abominations in Texas history, if not the biggest.

Do tell! C'mon man!

I personally consider her to be a great embarrassment to the state. Her personal over the top country Texas style made me cringe.

So, this is a recruiting thread, right? Looking for the latest info on our unsigned but committed recruits. Anything?

Announcement times on NSD:

9:00 am - Andrew Parker
10:00 am - Keondre Coburn, Lawrence Keys III
10:30 am - Tommy Bush
10:45 am - Joseph Ossai
Aren't Coburn and Ingram on the committed and signing tomorrow list? The announcement for them was Texas months ago. Unless something has changed that I'm not privy to.

I had no idea Ann Richards had that side or is considered by some to be a not so great (maybe worse) governor. I was 9 and too young to care when she became governor but everything I’ve heard about her from others is she was a great governor and person. Any more details while we wait for NSD?

Though she was light and short by recruiting standards, Ann Richards also had abysmal 40 and shuttle times. No way -- even in her prime -- she should have been on a recruiting thread.

We could count her 40 time on a Harley...think she was pretty good there!

While she was a pretty good QB, the teammates she surrounded herself were terrible, which in the end reflected badly on herself, thus forever sealing her fate as a backup.
