2017 Recruiting

Lauren Heard, sister of UT WR Jerrod Heard, committed to TCU yesterday. Plays summer ball on same team as Sedona, Tatum and Vivian Gray.
 
So, this is the weekend of Megan Walker's official visit to Texas. Since the football game is on Sunday, I'd assume she will be on campus Saturday through Monday as I believe the maximum allowed is 48 hours. For once, it won't be 100 degrees on Labor Day weekend in Austin!

Wondering if Chasity Patterson will also be taking her official visit this weekend; since she's only a 2 hour drive away, even if she wasn't taking her official, an unofficial visit would be just as good in order to spend time with Megan.

With this being the biggest football game in Austin in several years, I could see Coach A inviting several underclassmen to visit. We saw where 2018 NaLyssa Smith tweeted she was planning to visit unofficially for the game. But, now it seems like she might be in Houston for some hoops event; same for 2018 Queen Egbo, Lolo Davenport and Charli Collier.

With school closed for Labor Day, if she wants to see some classes, she will be in tomorrow. Though with the hour restrictions you noted, you are probably right on her trip timeline. At any rate, I am glad she is coming to visit.
 
Wonder if the recruits making a visit are at the VB game? Part of the team was there supporting the VB team yesterday.

Doesn't look like Megan's visit will start until Sunday - she was at the JLE160 event in Houston Saturday. If her visit starts late Sunday afternoon, she could visit classes/talk to professors Tuesday.
 
looks like we got some awesome PGs coming in 2017 & 2020. Now, call me selfish but I would love to see Tatum Veitenheimer in 2018.
 
This game could have a huge impact on the the WBB program. The timing and location of the JLE event worked out well for UT because I'm sure more than a few top prospects are in attendance, especially OOS players.

I can't pick her out of these pictures but Deja, Shae, Sedona and Charli (happy to see her) are there along with some other prospects/players. Is Megan the one with her arm around Karen in the group photo?

Actually, I believe THAT IS Megan Walker. I saw this photo earlier and it was bigger and easier to see. My first thought was ...... that is Megan Walker.

I hope you're correct and Megan was at the game. What a fantastic game and atmosphere for the recruits to watch.

In the earlier pic (which was larger ), it did look like Megan Walker. However, perhaps you are right. I was sure hoping she would be here this weekend. Great atmosphere. Impressive group of potential future Longhorns nonetheless....
 
My sources tell me that all the WBB recruits in town for the ND game were all on unofficial visits! All the official visits that were originally scheduled have been rescheduled for next weekend for the UTEP Game! I would believe that Megan Walker should be here then. I am sure there will be more information to come!! What a GREAT Group of unofficial visitors! Boom!!
 
I think the Boo Williams club team was in Houston, and someone (maybe Prentice Beverly) drove them down to Austin for the game; that would include 2019 Samantha Brunelle and maybe 2018 Shakira Austin. But, with that being the team Megan was in Houston with, did she make it to Austin with them (even it was an unofficial visit)? She has been in no photos that I've seen.

Her eyes are always up, she gives the ball up early and moves to space so she can be effective when she gets it back, takes good shots (and when she was left open, it was money), and then immediately becomes a defender after the shot goes up – straight into defensive stance and reading the opposing guard and slowing the ball down. Patterson has made herself into a shot maker and has found the niche of being able to run an offense, but also pick her spots to take advantage of her ability to score the ball in multiple ways. I like her demeanor on the floor and anticipate success at the next level. She competed in every rep all weekend long."

"What hasn’t been said about Megan Walker? (2017 – VA). She is supremely talented and a gifted strong athlete who plays the game right. She is just a player – no need to call her a position or pigeonhole her as anything in particular. It would have been great if Megan had visited this past weekend and had attended that incredible football game with the current basketball players and other recruits.
