Have to wonder what's coming next? :hookem:

Special weekend with some special quests

I know that Alecia Sutton will be visiting this week. I think I read somewhere that Jada Underwood and Joyner Holmes would also be here. Going to be a big week for Texas. I wonder if Sabrina Ionescu will also be here. She had her official visit to Cal last week.
from Dijonal Carrington tweet:

Simeone who watches the Oregon WBB program posted Sabrina's visit schedule:

He also had a recent tweet saying Oregon MBB is showing interest in Sabrina's twin brother.

Sorry if this has already been posted but I had no idea she could range out to 3:

Very impressive, and I hope that Coach Aston doesn't pigeon hole her and just stick her in the post because she's 6'3, she's a guard in a power fowards body. So don't use her like you would Nneka, let Joyner play on the perimeter which is her strength.

There can be a big difference between how a coach says they'll use a player and reality but I read an interview with Holmes from a while back that said she couldn't see herself at a program that tried to restrict her to the post. Coach Aston got the perfect assistant IMO (Thompson) that could maximize her abilities.

Absolutely, Coach Thompson will be very important because she was basically the same kind of player who was most comfortable playing on the perimeter, but Coach Aston is still running the offense. I'm not saying don't work with Joyner to improve her post play and utilize her size and athleticism if she has an advantage on occasion. But don't have her playing like Nneka were she was posting up the majority of the time because she was most comfortable from about 10 feet and in.

Obviously, I'm not a coach but if I'm Coach Aston I would play Joyner as the fourth guard at the power forward position. And let her take advantage of her ability to play on the perimeter with the ball in her hands and make plays for herself or her teammates.

talk about matchup nightmares next season: Kelsey, Joyner, Jordon, Ariel and Brooke.
With their length and quickness, I think Ariel and Lashann are going to cause a lot of headaches for ball-handlers for the next few years. This type of squad will also be a nightmare on fast breaks - speed that can turn a lot of 2-1 into 3-1 situations.

Per Bret McCormick @ ASGR1995,
2016 5-8 PG Amber Ramirez of San Antonio Wagner has committed to TCU over Tx Tech.

The following paragraph is from Eddy Ionescu's Rivals page. I wonder how much of a factor this will be in where Sabrina ends up?

Ionescu's twin sister, Sabrina, is a national level prospect at the shooting guard. His sister holds almost two dozen offers from BCS level schools. When asked about their college decision making process and if it would be a packaged deal, Ionescu says, "Most likely we would both like it if we could play basketball at the same school. Ultimately, it just depends where she wants to go. We would both like to stay together and play basketball at the same school."

Cool. Was totally confused by the video. Shes wearing a Cy Fair jersey in it. Maybe she moved?

Joyner Holmes attends Cedar Hill High School in the Dallas area. But during AAU basketball, she played with Heroes program, based out of Dallas, two summers ago, and with Cy Fair this last summer.

Joyner, you will LOVE being here and you will be part of historical runs in the next few years!!
Yessssssssssssssssss!! :yippee:

KA is really setting a high bar on the recruiting trail. Our classes have rivaled that of the UCONN's and Baylor's over the last 3 seasons. As her X's and O's game grows we are in for a true restoration of glory.

This is probably the first season since '05 we're we've gone into the year with lofty expectations. We could be a dark horse final four team this year and I like that.

Last year could have been epic if not for injuries. As long as the team stays healthy and doesnt lose our best players for extended periods, we very well could be a final four team this year.

Joyner is #1 Bluestar has it right. Cox has not progressed since U16, I think Espn just gave her a pass as she was on U19 even though she did not play and by all accounts was put on the team for recruiting purposes by Walz and Staley. Everyone knew Texas was in lead for Joyner.

I've been looking at them as 1a and 1b for a while. Cox has a more refined skill set now but Joyner's ceiling is off the charts. Her athleticism at her size is ridiculous.
