Unless you follow recruiting very closely, y'all probably hadn't heard of Josh Jarboe yet, just because he's a '08 recruit out of Georgia and we never went after him. But he was #69 in the nation (a high 4 star) per Rivals.

Big blow to the Sooners' '08 class.

they'll probably give him a medal or something. it'll be like when henry gets pinched and paulie and jimmy are out waiting for him so they can throw him a party. a welcome to the club (ou) of sorts.
 
eh'....so someone stashed a bunch of stolen goods in his car along w/ a gun.
Almost the same thing happened to Romance when someone threw 5lbs. of weed in the back of his car.
It'll be dropped & something that will be easy to dispute.
 
Yeah but when he was arrested for the pot in the back of his car most people thought someone must have threw it back there & that was his story too.
I'm just saying maybe the same thing happened. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as well.
 
********. Most people applauded Mack for having the foresight to kick RT off the team before the arrest even happened.

OU recruite = "on" the ou 08 roster
R Taylor = "not" on the Texas roster in 2006.

Yeah, it's beyond dumb to throw RT back at us when a) we kicked him off the team BEFORE he was arrested, b) he NEVER played another down of football, c) he went to prison for his crime.

I guess Since73's logic is that RT made up a story in his defense, but what criminal doesn't?

Josh Jarboe has never stepped foot in a classroom @ OU & is still in highschool.
Never played a snap for OU. He simply has a LOI to go to OU after he graduates & that's not binding from either side.
As is stands now, a committed player was arrested. No different than the guys we picked up this year for 09.
 
I doubt the ou alums swing much dick in Georgia, particularly since this kid spurned the dawgs to go to ou. Kid looks like he's about 25 in that picture.
 
Did UGA even recruit him that hard? I know UGA visited him but I don't remember much after A.J. Green signed with UGA.
 
Clearly a case where Bob got his man. This is the type of character that produces a tough football player, exactly the profile that is wanted in norman.
 
Might I suggest that the two JJ's Josh Jarboe and Justin Johnson room togethor. Oh, the hours of fun they could have planning their college pranks
 
Ahh, Since73's monthly "Nothing to see here" post to gloss over all of OU's cheating, drugging, or any other perceived wrong doing.
