Having an unstable girlfriend wasn't smart. Beard defending himself and not choking her, in her own words, is not grounds for him being fired before the dust settles. Being falsely accused shouldn't be an automatic firing for anybody. Anyhow this is where we are.

Yeah, we never saw a real investigation about if the charge was remotely true.

Texas decided that they did not want to fight the negative response from those who sided with the batshit girlfriend. The fact that she changed her story also did not help.

We finished the season 17-14, 6-12 and 13th out of 16 teams in conference. OU finished the season tied with us in conference but had a better overall record so in the standings we are 14th.

At this point I don't think I want us to go on an NC State type of run like they had last year. I suppose it would be fun, but just like them that run just delayed the inevitable with their coach who was fired today.

We do not want that kind of run. The long term negative impact would outweigh the short term thrill. I have firmly come into your corner on its time to move on. 1 and done next week vs Vandy would be just fine.

They made it their goal to shut him down and they did. I'd say about 5 of those shots were just plain bad, but the rest really were good looks. Just always had a hand in his face or a body nearby on a floater and they never fell.

Inability to explain inconsistency is the worst thing about having Terry as a coach. When reporters covering Fresno or UTEP would ask him about issues, he'd point to his resume of "upsetting a better opponent" or "doing well in the conference tournament" in order to stave off criticism. That doesn't work at a school with our resources.
 
Coach living up to that moniker in our opener against Vandy.
Don’t know how it’s gonna end, but we’re up 41-26 at the half.
Weaver bringing the intensity which has picked up the play of others.
 
Why have shed handling the ball when we know Vandy has to foul. I understand he’s a big target, but ….
Still have to make free throws down the stretch to bring it on home.
 
Win today and things get interesting but frankly at this point I suspect it's not just win today but probably requires also winning tomorrow and Saturday too in order to even have a chance. If a 6-12 regular season SEC team gets in the howls will be loud and nasty and it's just easier for the cmte to avoid it and say the 13th-place team in a conference just isn't getting in as an at large. It would be nice to win today, it probably isn't going to happen, but even if it does Texas' tournament chances require a minimum 4 game run to even be in the discussion and frankly may really require them to win the conference tournament. I just don't see the 13th team in a conference getting an at-large berth.

Shows how much Tournament Terry's team has kept my attention.

I doubt we win too but if we embarrass the Aggies once again, we should support the team going to NCAA tournament.
