Your silence is golden...

CPF, I asked if you had adopted any unwanted babies since you so earnestly wrote in several posts above that it is the better option. Just wondering if you walked the walk or just talked the talk.

Thousands of children including newborns are out there who aren't adopted for various reasons despite what you say about each and every one being wanted. If you feel so strongly against the choice of abortion and all for adoption, why not take one or two of these unwanted children that you insist should be brought into the world?

As is typical with your type, you want a woman to be forced to give birth, but after that, "You're on your own, kid."

I have nothing to contribute to this thread other than to point out that, in supporting abortion, you cannot shirk support for the fact that fetuses do not have a right to life. The most instructive point here is the Oxford Journal of Medical Ethics article from a year ago. Its authors argued that:

SH, while I don't agree with you, I respect the thought.

My opinion is that Abortion is and should be the last CHOICE and only in very extreme circumstances.

Abortion is as barbaric as war, I would say even worse for obvious reasons.

Abortion by the so called Choice or it is my body group are in my opinion some of the biggest hipocrites as I have ever seen.

They will destroy a baby, fetus but they are the same ones that will go to extreme lengths to prevent execution of a very bad person that had a CHOICE.........

Men, Males even, are held to the standard that says they should carefully consider whether they want to willfully or not spread their seed to the particular female they are attempting to get comfortable with at any particular moment. So much so that if their comfort time with said female proceeds to produce a fertilized egg that is able to be proven at some point in the future to be his, that he will be held liable for 18 years and 9 months of support.

Why not hold the female to the same responsibility? The CHOICE is made before fertilization occurs. It seems reasonable if one sex is forced, the male, to uphold their responsibility in that pre-fertilization choice that both would.

I was less adamant in my opinion before seeing the sonograms of both of my kids when they were 10-11 weeks in the womb. The Doctors can tell without asking the mother how old the fetus is by all this new-fangled science they have access to these days.

Open your eyes a bit and maybe you would see that there is not much that is right taking place when an abortion takes place. Even if the law says it is ok. Partial birth abortion is hideous.

Minorities in the NE are horribly affected as a percentage of their population to the numbers of abortions by race. Oh, well, I guess it is too divisive an issue to really discuss. Team politics must come first! This issue should really be apolitical.

You hear that? That's the sound of Texas Democracy and the voice of the majority of Texans on this issue.

It's also the sound of me laughing as promised.
