Not to toot my own horn but see my earlier post - I haven't run the numbers but I think W Va has trouble in the red zone. It has similar yards per game to Texas but 11 fewer points per game. This signals a team that has trouble punching the ball in for the TD when the field gets small. A backup kicker may mean W Va going for it on 4th downs from the 20-35 yard lines instead of kicking.WV starting kicker out for season ... could be interesting to see if they go for it more on 4th down.
their back up kicker ... is Casey Legg
BREAKING: WVU Kicker Evan Staley is Out for the Season
Considering how every game we play is a close one, this could be important.WV starting kicker out for season ... could be interesting to see if they go for it more on 4th down.
not good...
Sam EhlingerSo who is our #3 running back for the WV game?
I respectfully disagree. He is not the #3 RB. He is the #1, no matter what the depth chart says.Sam Ehlinger

In fairness it does seem like Bijan has had his share of shoestring tackles by the last man with a chance. I think he is going to break soon. I can't wait!I would like BIJAN Targeted for passes out into the flat or wheel route more often. Get him open in space and let him juke somebody for good yardage.
How come every other team can get their RBs to go through the line for a long run for a touchdown, like 40 plus, like Donta Foreman use to do? Have we done that yet?
Whatever became of Daniel Young? Has he carried once this year?
If Stephen Stills shows up for the game, well, we might be SOL!
I've been harping on this^^^^^at home for weeks. We have big plays out of the backfield with kI and Bijan open to us and have most of the year if we can set em up and block em. Maybe out of a two back set with RJ in and keep him in to block? With KI out...who I believe to be a great pass catcher, this^^^may be best bet....or try with Bijan only in and tell the oline if they dont hold their blocks long enough you're going to kill them.I noticed that on some of the longer and mid range passes, we were leaving the RBs in to pass block. Sometimes we needed to. It would be nice to be able to get them out in the flats or on wheel routes for the vast majority of pass plays, but the OL needs to improve on the slower-developing routes. Some of our past teams have made a living on passes to the RBs in the flats. If the opposing LBs aren't very fast, it's hard to get there and make the tackle before the RB already has 5-10 yards on a little swing pass/pass to the RB in the flats. I think Bijan is well suited to this sort of play based on his HS film.
Totally agree w you on RB routes and targets...I would like BIJAN Targeted for passes out into the flat or wheel route more often. Get him open in space and let him juke somebody for good yardage.

Still??Hes got a siiiiick swim move.
I also like the single RB 'fake block' then stealthily ease out into the flats route. Confuses LBs.I've been harping on this^^^^^at home for weeks. Trick plays aren't in the binder.I want to see Roschon throw the ball as a RB on a trick play ...
why are we saving our secret trick play?
As long as our linemen quit with the fake blocks I'm fine with itI also like the single RB 'fake block' then stealthily ease out into the flats route. Confuses LBs.
