English announcers now speculating on whether absence of Mueller changed the whole attitude of German team based on how passive they have been on offense.
 
Even with as strong as Spain is, it is hard to believe Germany is out of it. Especially with the way they have played.

Spain vs. Holland is gonna be a classic. Go Dutch!!

The better team today definitely won. The Germans of the past two rounds just were not on the field today.

Not sure if was Mueller's absence or the fact that it is hard to maintain such a high level of play or whether we all overrated England and Argentina and Germany really wasnt all that but Spain dominated in every sense.

Good to see that there will be a first time W/C winner this year.
 
I always hedge on whether teh men of a predominantly Catholic country can put it in the hole with gusto in front of the whole world.

I am not much of a sushi eater otherwise i would.

Spain was the better team tonight but Germany had a great tournament. The Euro 2012 championships should be fun to watch.

I am going with Germany on Saturday but can't decide who to pick for the final. I have connections to the Dutch and Spanish but I might go with Spain since my baby boy has a Spanish shirt that his daddy got him last year in Madrid that he can wear. Yes - I purely make choices on clothes

I wouldn't count out Uruguay over Germany. They get Suarez back and will want to show. Claiming a German pelt would be huge for the team that had to beat Costa Rica in an extra game to even qualify. Germany, otoh, will have to be careful not to have a big letdown get to them. But like Uruguay, Germany will be playing with a key player back in Mueller.
 
Just back from Vegasm where I watched the Brazil/Hollland game in the Venetian sports book; probably 40 fully decked-put Brazil fans and 15 extremely vocal Dutch. Certainly a crazy atmosphere. I got the impression that most of the Brazlians stayed up all night for the game.
 
I am somewhat depressed about this being the final weekend. It was a great run and hopefully will have a classic final.

The eggs were fresh from the farm and the sausage was homemade. That was also my husband's plate so my amount was a little less.
