He was an incredibly brave and decent man. I never knew who Wild Bill was until reading his obituary. I met him and his wife at a friend's home several years ago and had no idea it was him until seeing the name.

God bless you Wild Bill. God bless your family. We'll keep cheering on the Horns down here. We know you'll be cheering them on up there.

Wild Bill was a badass. That type of courage and spirit is exceedingly rare.

Tonight, my son had a very big moment in his life after his 13th birthday. Many of my friends and family were at the event. I thought of Bill. It is good to remember both the joy and sorrow at such a time. i will miss him. God speed.
