I'm pulling for Stanford and LSU. I think LSU has a better chance of advancing than Stanford does but it would be sweet to those two matching up for the championship. Wiggins has to have a monster game for the Tree to win. And Pedersen and Appel have to have solid games inside to compliment Wiggins.

I'm with you, BAB, I would LOVE to see Tennessee and UConn LOSE!!

Can't stand Geno, or his cocky-a#@ players, and while I DO like Pat, enough is enough...

GO Fowles, GO Wiggins.....let's hear it for the Seniors!!

Personally pulling for Stanford and Tennessee. Always liked The Cardinal and Tara. I'm not so much in love with LSU like most of you are. Guess I still have that sour taste from seeing their pep band make fun of the UT pep band EVERY time they played (this was at the game in Seattle when LSU beat Texas in the regional semis). And God knows I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Candace Parker. Won't get to see her play as often when she gets to the WNBA unless she gets picked by Seattle!

I'm pulling for LSU because of Travis Mays and Sylvia Fowles.

Stanford is playing well with Wiggins and Pedersen doing well. Appel needs to step up on both ends to compliment them.

I'll be happy if she can just give 100%.

That was a nice layup she got after UConn scored. And UConn almost got back in time to prevent it.

Excellent game plan by the Stanford coaches. The players looked a bit hurried at times late in the half but managed to play under control for the most part.

20 more minutes and Wiggins still has to explode. Pedersen is doing a lot of the offensive work for the Cardinal.

They have to get in Wiggins' hands in every possesion. UConn is going to foul early and often.

UConn has gone down!! Great game by Stanford. Wiggins and Pedersen were huge on offense and defensively, whoever guarded Moore did a great job on her.

YIPPEEEEE!!!

Bye, Bye Geno!!!

Damn, I LOVE to see that SOUR expression on his face!!!

YAY CANDACE!! Yay for Honer and all the Stanford team!!

Strange seeing Candace with those long sleeves. Don't think I have ever seen a BB player with long sleeves.

Can't believe Summitt was asked why her team's defense wasn't very good. I sure hope I heard wrong and she was asking about the offense. 22-18 is not good offense and may not be be due to good defense either.

Holding at team to 18 points seems like pretty good defense. LSU has missed some easy shots though.

This game is so sloppy. Parker is trying to give it her best and I know she is in physical pain. Some of the other Vols have to step it up. Hornbuckle hasn't done a lot this half and you'd think since she's a senior that she would be putting it all on the line. Bobbitt and Bjorklund have to start scoring some points to help out.

Sylvia seems to be a bundle of nerves. Finally toward the end of the half, she started putting some shots in.

Field goal percentage is horrid for both teams in the first half.

Stanford was brilliant. Tara looked like a much better coach than Geno tonight. What a pleasure to watch this team.

What's with Tennessee's offense? Candace Parker has bought into her own publicity too much. She shoots every time she touches the ball, even though almost none of her shots are going in. Dales blamed it on others standing around watching. I think it is Candace's job to remember that she has teammates and to get others involved by kicking out and being more patient. LSU has lost their cool . I hope they get it together this half.

Fowles is camping in the lane. I've counted at least 10 times that she has been in the lane longer than three seconds. Also, she has gotten away with a bunch of offensive fouls. I don't know how successful she'll be at the next level as all she can make it a point blank lay in.

JoeDallas, about 80% of Tennessee's offense is run through Candance Parker. It appears that no one else on the team is willing to step up and take a shot.

If LSU could make FTs, they would be headed to the championship game. Looks like Tenn is going to hang on due to LSU's inability to hit FTs.

Geno: "Next year, we are going to be even better than we are this year, so if you can't beat us this year, how are you going to beat us next year?"

Looks like that line of reasoning didn't work too well.

What a hard fought game. LSU definitely would have won the game if they could have hit their FTs. Neither team was very efficient at the FT line.

I think Stanford has to feel very good about their chances if Tennessee plays the way that they did tonight.

Wow, that stank. UTexinPDX, Parker was 6 of 27. They may run most of their offense through her, but that's not the same thing as her choosing to shoot every play, especially not all those shots from the perimeter, especially without at least passing it around a little. She has always wanted to be a perimeter player, and I guess the coaches never had the nerve to tell her no, even though that's decidedly not her strength.

It's funny how when there is one superstar, it really can mess up team play (e.g., Texas being better this year without Durant, and probably us relying on Tiffany too much last year).

Tueday will be interesting. If Stanford stay can be as poised as they were tonight, it will be slugging for UTenn.
