What's the cause of the massive unrest of the players

Charlie's Bulls are 9-2, bowl bound and his name is being thrown around again for major coaching positions such as Florida.
I doubt he thinks of UT at all as his head hits the pillow.

In spite of Charlie they won 9 thanks to a junior high schedule and decent inherited talent. They looked sloppy in almost every area in every game I saw just like his Texas teams. That team regressed this year under him.

Oh, yes, South Florida, soon to be the WRTS school in Florida.....I'll wager you'll never see Charlie at a power 5 again, and if you do, his conference and overall record will be equal to or less than his results at Texas. I'll grant you he's a good guy, but so was Tyrone Willingham.

What’s this blueprint some of you keeping talking about it?
i'll try to help and say it's not a "blueprint" of success but an ideal trying to be realized. And there's some here who believe in the ideal Tom Herman is bringing to the table and yes perhaps believe more in that ideal than the one our prior coach brought to the table. It's believed that the new ideal is more inclined to score more points in each game than the other side. It will probably take some of the prior administration's players moving on before the nectar known as "the truth" can be fully digested and therefore realized on the field.

Can beck and we will score more points that’s easy but more players moving on is the last thing he needs. Doesn’t the new early signing period make it harder to replace those ships now in an adequate time frame?

How so? I’m not familiar with the new rules.

So Charlie gets all the blame for his failures but no credit for his successes.
Can't have it both ways.
Like our current coach is fond of saying, "It's hard to win a football game."

2016 South Florida Bulls: 11-2 and finished #19 in both polls.

2017 South Florida Bulls: 9-2 and currently ranked 23rd and 24th.
Wins:
Temple 6-6
Tulane 5-7
Cincinnati 4-8
Connecticut 3-9
East Carolina 3-9
Illinois 2-10
Tulsa 2-10
San Jose State 2-11
Stony Brook (FCS)

Losses:
Central Florida 12-0
Houston 7-4

Bowl game: Texas Tech 6-6

You know how people say Mack Brown underachieved? Charlie Strong has to be the biggest underachiever of all time. He never won an outright conference title at Louisville. He has lost his division twice to better coaches at UCF with both Louisville and South Florida now. He only played two teams with winning records this year and lost to both! On top of it, he lost to 7-4 Houston at home. He never had a winning record in 3 years at Texas losing by 20 or more multiple times, losing to Kansas and getting shutout multiple times including 0-24 to Iowa State. He brings a culture of underachieving and players not living up to their potential. His best win this year was 6-6 Temple!

The talent on his team should be enough to destroy Tech worse than we should have beat Tech, yet South Florida is only 2.5 point favorites right now and I honestly dont know that Charlie will even win this game.

So Charlie gets all the blame for his failures but no credit for his successes.
Can't have it both ways.

Charlie Strong has 0 outright conference titles anywhere (he has 2 big east co-championships that were 4 way ties). For a lot of posters, Mack Brown who was 100X a better coach gets all the blame for failures and no credit for successes, yet Charlie Strong’s far greater underachievement gets defended and excused.

Charlie could have saved his name by winning his conference this year. Instead he proved himself an underachiever by failing to beat anyone with a winning record and only beating the teams at 6-6 or worse. (Yes, Stony Brook had a winning record, but come on, we are talking about an FCS team).

I'm just saying....USF beat everybody they were supposed to but Houston.
And Houston probably matched their talent on defense at least.
Losing to a good UCF team by a couple of points was no shame.
I agree with Herman.
Winning a football game is hard, I don't care who you're playing.
And winning 9 out of 11 aint bad.
Remember also, this USF team was playing under a new coach and OC.
Bringing in a new system isn't easy either.

Strong doesn't need me to defend him and I'm sure he couldn't give a ****.
But I give him credit for a good season at his new job.

But it was okay when Herman coached against those same teams when he was at Houston?

I didnt want to hire Herman. I do not know why I keep getting put in that camp.

I will say Herman beat OU, Louisville, Florida State and won an outright conference title, so he did better than Strong in thaf conference. Of course, he did all that with Applewhite running a UT 2008 style spread offense though and not this Tebow offense nonsense we have with Tim Beck.... so if he does not upgrade the OC he may be on par with Charlie. He is on the same 3 year clock Charlie was for me and so far year 1 has been the same failure Strong’s year 1 was.

Anyway, I hope Herman wins, just like I hoped Strong would win, but I have never been in #CampHerman and I hope we can clear that up once and for all. Throw Herman at people in #CampHerman. I am in camp “why did we fire Mack Brown without a good replacement lined up? You only fire Tom Landry if you are bringing in Jimmy Johnson.” That is my camp.

Your wasting your time arguing w moondick about Charlie strong

His nose is stuck far up Charlie's *** you couldn't tow it out.
Hey, **** you jackass.
I comment on your posts because you are so insanely behind Herman that you can't recognize one mistake.
But it's all in good message board fun.
I back Herman also.
I don't call you names you thin skinned little dickweed.

Easy guys......I know I started it but let's all remember we're Longhorn fanatics yet brethren....I could use a few pointers on decorum but I agree with the forum that calling each other names won't help the discussion.....and, when I commit this sin as well, I welcome others to point me in the right direction, especially my fellow fisherman, I Don't Exist!

You didn't start Galvestonhorn's assholery.

And btw...I reported us both. :)

i think I hurt the little cup cakes feelings. I'm sorry and I'll quit and won't make anymore pro Herman post that offends her.

Oh, I think it's obvious to all who is majorly butt hurt here.
You can't let go of a comment I made months ago.
March 31, 2017 to be exact.

Dude, if Herman takes a corner to quick it's gonna break your nose. ;)

And that comment was made with a little winky face to let you know I was just giving you a hard time.

Grow a layer of skin Nancy.
