Week 8 Prediction Thread: Texas vs. Houston...3rd Ward, "We have a problem"

I don’t think Sark coached teams get high on revenge or other emotions. But all other teams in the Big will play their best game against Texas. Better talent wins this one. Heard that before?

Our team worries me. Hard to argue about the talent. It’s obvious, and arguably the best we have had since 2009. Maybe since 2005. In some positions, better. But we play uneven, and inconsistent. Great against Bama, reasonably well against Baylor and Kansas (without their talented QB), not great against Rice and Wyoming, and poorly in the RRR. We have played only one “proficient” QB. That didn’t go well.

I believe that we can match up with anyone, including Georgia, tOSU, you name it. But it seems that we can also underperform against anyone.

The publisher of IT made an interesting observation this week: If we simply had our “B” game in the RRR, we would have won.

It’s a box of chocolates. At least, so far.

With 2 weeks to prepare it better be Texas' best game of the season.

For those who venture into Third Ward to attend the game, I would be interested in knowing how the neighborhood atmosphere compares with Fair Park. :yes:
 
Interested in same GJ. We’re not attending primarily due to discussions on here and other sites about the neighborhood. At my age do not want or need any potential negative confrontation, way past that macho stage.
