I’m curious what changed between your confidence pick and now?
Your score prediction for tomorrow is a pretty serious beatdown by the Horns.

Two things changed, and those two things fed into a natural inclination of mine.

The first thing that changed is that the Horns look better than I expected. I thought they would need most of a year to grow into themselves. I was wrong, and this is some crow I am delighted to eat.

Second, Georgia doesn't look nearly as invincible as I expected them to be. I think they are comparable to Michigan, and we beat them down on the road.

With these changes, I can let loose on my usual tendency to be overly optimistic. I tend to predict beat downs, and today is no different.

For what it's worth, my observation over the years has been that there tend to be more blowouts than predictions of blowouts, both here on HornFans and elsewhere. It is especially true of the talking heads on TV, who tend to be risk averse. It feels safer to say "this is going to be a close one" than to say "Texas is gonna blow Georgia out".
