Here's what to expect. Even though ISU's defense sucks, expect them to play great. Even though their QB sucks, expect him to be a Heisman candidate come Sunday morning. Even though we look to be in control, expect this game to be potentially decided by one play, whether it be a crucial penalty, a TO or a freakish play. And expect some Texas fans to whine about what they perceive to be biased officiating.

In other words, situation normal. Keep your Rolaids handy.

I don't have a lot of respect for the Iowa St offense and our team greatly outmatches their team at almost every position. This game comes down to coaching and how effective our coaching staff will be against theirs. Without Brooks, the running game should be fine. In fact, I think Blue will show what he is capable of.

Yeah that’s already a mini-victory for us. Next Saturday at 8:00pm in Ames will be 21 degrees. So relatively, today will be very tolerable.

Thank you. I guess I should have phrased the question differently. Has anyone ever been to a Texas game in Ames? If so, how did the fans treat you? What was the tailgating scene like? Was it a night game? Do you think that mattered?

I have been in Ames. It was the only place I am aware of that students tried to cut the cable on the HF mini blimp marking our tailgating location. The students were complete shitheads. However, ISU fans who came to Austin were always pretty friendly and fun to be around.

I suspect it will be a tight first half because weird things seem to happen in Ames at night. They won't have the luxury of laying down in the second half which means they stay focused with their foot on the gas. Texas wins in the second half pulling away late.
