Week 12 Prediction Thread: Texas vs Iowa St...Maybe This Will Happen Before the Second Half...

Hate to do it again, but I watched ISU prep for this one in that BYU game late Saturday night. They're ready. In a multifaceted way with lots of different options for ball placement. Combine that with our 2nd half woes, and it's not going to be a fun night in Ames.

Texas 27

I'm sure Coach K will be watching tape of that ISU/BYU game. Of course, he won't make any adjustments based on watching that tape, but I'm sure he'll watch tape.

Ames at night is worth points to ISU.
Texas has no equal for Brooks. He is their premier back.
ISU shares with two backs with a total of 1077 yards.
Ewers has 2232 yards.
ISU qb has 2121 yards.
Texas is averaging 33.8 points a game.
ISU is averaging 25.7 points a game.
Texas opponents average 18.4 points a game.
ISU opponents average 19.9 points a game.

I think this game is a tossup in Austin, but I fear for the Horns in Ames. Especially with the second half "missing in action" trends by the Horns.

ISU 30
Horns 27
Hope I am wrong.

I found my data on the Internet and so I know it must be accurate. Isn't everything? If some disagree, keep it to yourself. I don't care.

ISU beat a BYU team that has been blown out by four of their last five opponents. ISU struggled at a home night game against KU the week before. Texas clearly has the better team.

The Brooks injury may force Sark to use his playmakers on the outside like he was during the first half of the TCU game for more of the game. Put a full game together and boat race these idiots.

UT - 27
ISU - 21

I am done predicting big blowout wins for the Horns, especially on the road and probably in a cold setting. Unless, something happens to the teams ranked ahead of us, we only have four games left (2 B12, B12 CC, and bowl game), so redshirt for Arch is not at risk. He needs to play some this year!

Your post makes more sense to me than any on this thread, Including my own post from earlier in the week. I don’t think ISU is going to wait till the second half to attack Coach K’s defense. And Coach K, sadly, shows no signs of allowing his defense to play an attacking style for an entire game.

Interesting take from an IT YouTube video I watched today.

How do you compensate for the loss of Brooks, and also how do you perform better on third and fourth down short yardage situations? Maybe have a package or two for Arch Manning because of the running threat he poses? Personally, I love the idea.

This probably has been mentioned already but our scores this season have fallen in a fairly narrow range--37, 34, 31, 38, 40, 30, 31, 35, 33, 29, so I'll say, with the injury, Texas 30, ISU 24.

The Horns are due a good, complete performance. It's time. Baxter and Blue should see this as an opportunity to perform, not an opportunity to fill in.

Texas 35
ISU. 17

I suspect this is going to be a tricky game. Especially with Brooks out and Coach K's matador pass defense.

Optimistic prediction:

Horns 31
Clones 24

28Vortexes. 27Texas. Officials last chance to stop us. If the weather is windy there may be less points. Hopefully Sark does something totally unexpected on offense and horns dominate special teams.

That makes one of us. I have a reputation to uphold.

Another week and another difficult game to predict. Can we overcome the inconsistencies, run the ball when it counts, and play a full four quarters? I don't know. I really don't.

Texas 30
TCU 23
